17. Every Major News Paper In OK Endorsed Clark!!!! Read:
ALSO: To add a bit on the subject of Mo', I should also note that Clark scored 2 OK newspaper endorsements--weapons Kerry and Edwards apparently wielded to devastating effect in IA and NH--Saturday and is due to add another Monday. So far as I know, no other candidate has scored any major OK newsroom endorsements, and if you add those to the Native American Times endorsement (which actually has a multi-state impact), Clark should definitely have positive press momentum heading in Tuesday in OK.

6. It looks like Kerry is moving up
+ 8 from the last period, Clark and Edwards constant.<P>
Then again, with the margain of error, either of the three could win. If I would bet $ on the results, I'd say Clark will pull out a victory here and likely be # 2 in most other states setting up a three way battle in Michigan and Wisconsin between Clark, Kerry, and Dean.

26. Since Zogby is a Kerry partisan abgling for work, he can't be trusted
In addition to underpolling clark by 60 percent in NH, he said:

"A final note: I know that my polling in the past two-days has shown a close race. I have no doubt that this was the case. Dean had bottomed out in the latter part of the week, was re-gaining some of his support among key voting groups, and had rehabilitated up to a point his unfavorable ratings. But in the final analysis, New Hampshire voters have decided to nominate a possible president instead of sending an angry message,"

However true that statement may be, there's a guy who's sucking up to a potential client. Big time.

32. I hate to feel so paranoid
But it is getting to me, too. :grr:

I had a friend visit yesterday who had traveled down from Manhattan. It was terrible. All I did was rag on her about the media (she works for CBS) the entire day. I told her that if Bush wins, God forbid, I will thank her for it. Shame on me. :(

But I forgot to tell everyone, another old friend was also here. She was telling me she knew Clark during the Bosnia crisis and he was very dear to the hearts of her particular segment of the left. My friend had been a refugee from Serbo-Croatia as a child in some other upheaval in those parts, and she has been an activist during Bosnia and Kosovo. (Now SHE speaks eight languages.) She had dinner with Samantha Power the night before she came here -- so cool.

56. That's because it isn't their poll
I believe that those other 3 polls were CNN polls but this Oklahoma one is from Survey USA. They would rather tout their own polls than others. However, I agree that they should discuss more how Kerry is trailing in Oklahoma and South Carolina.

Edited on Sun Feb-01-04 11:08 PM by arewethereyet
The Survey USA folks had this to say (link below to the full PDF reporting available by clicking the OK heading on the summary web page)...

"Given volitility, this should be reported as a three way fight, not a Clark 'lead'." (Referring to the graph with Clark Kerry and Edwards the longest three bars)

"Clark has led for 6 wks but has no momentum and is vulnerable."

"Kerry has momentum coming out of NH win, but will Dean's attack on Kerry take toll in the final 36 hrs ?"

"Edwards rose steadiliy after Iowa, plateaued immediately after NH but may have caught tailwind in contest's final hrs."

38. That's great but..
If Clark only wins a single state on Tuesday, he has to pick up a boatload of delegates elsewhere to stay competitive.

I was really feeling good when it looked like he would take at least 2 states out of OK, AZ and NM. Now we are in a battle just to keep OK.

Even if Edwards takes SC, if Kerry takes all the other states except OK, that's 5 for 7 and he will still be in the lead, the big story with the big mo'. Edwards will continue to get wet kisses from the press, especially because they are obsessed with SC, and ignore the other states. Clark's win will be seen as an anomaly, and he will continue to be ignored.

I'm sorry to piss on everyone's parade, this should be a happy thread. I've been doing campaign stuff over the weekend and now I have a bad cold and can't even make calls. I'm just feeling down toady. :(

46. I think we will do better than the mediawhores have led us to believe.
Call me crazy, but I think Wes is gonna squeak out a close win in AZ. Two wins will give him some mo... not as much as Kerry, certainly, but more than Edwards.

Of course even if Clark does win OK and AZ, all we'll hear about is Edwards in SC anyway. :eyes:

Also, I think we will pull out second in at least two states. ND might surprise us... Fifteen percent will give us more DELEGATES!

Things look pretty good from my vantage point.

53. They are much more MODERATE in AZ.
Clark's military background and support of the middle class has resonated with them, I think. My calls to AZ were ALL positive ones and all 20 people I called were strongly considering supporting Clark.

The meme of Kerry being even more of a flaming liberal than Kennedy must have reached Tuscon. Clark will enjoy strong support in AZ.

There are some people who are simply not going for our guy.

You really should have noticed that.

We'll see on Tuesday how it turns out.

If you don't hear anything from Oklahoma until midnight or later, it means Clark did well. If they start talking about Ok around noon EST Kerry did well. Somethings are really predictable.
