PORT DEAL ONLY INVITES BIN LADEN TO ATTACK
Watch as national newscasters like Chung and Povich specifically outline security weaknesses at U.S. ports. Another terrorist attack will greatly bolster Republican voter support. Recently I've heard numerous neocon propagandists throw the gauntlet at Bin Laden, saying he no longer had the strength or support to attack America.

Now we see the bait: Bin Laden hates UAR, the country of his birth, even more than he hates America and past events make it clear that he can and will hit ports... We've spent a great deal on airlines and little on port security, as Chung just said.

Last month on TV, I saw reactors using enough weapons grade plutonium for a bomb, totally unguarded at several U.S. universities, while others only had student guards who were most anxious to show cute female communications interns with NO ID through facilities at several schools. The Administration fails to protect us from terrorism because ONLY terrorism allows this tyranny to continue.

1. There were facilities at universities all over the place too!
They were more commonplace than one might assume.

3. did you see the broadcast too acmejack?
It blew my mind! :nuke: Once they get their hands on that stuff, they don't even need to build a bomb to kill thousands.

11. I did!
I went and looked around and there were three types of nuclear sites, only one of which actually had weapons grade material. But the dirty bomb technology is frighteningly easy to come by.

12. I'm not too clear on one thing in the broadcast...
I got the idea that terrorist would need to rob at least two of the reactors to obtain enough material to make the real deal... Not that hitting them simultaneously would take much co-ordination but could they make a devastating dirty bomb from one site?

2. I have a few doubts another attack will help the GOP.
The ports deal flap makes that less likely. It has planted seeds of concern in the minds of even the most ardent Bush Bot. What we need is Democrats who know how to engage the librul media on security issues (that is not Joe Biden who they seem to favor).

The port deal will disappear as the spin of a charlatan slight-of-hand artist offers another illusion. The neocons will simply learn a few new talking points.

7. Only in that they WERE laying the ground work to blame Dems for
another attack. Dumbya just ruined that for them with his Dubai caper.

10. and this works as well
I disagree the masses will act in a predictable manner with ANY new attack and unify, thus falling back in line with the tyrant... They are stupid enough to swallow any lie he'll tell after a future attack and this deal won't matter... It's like Plato said in book 1 "the masses quickly forget only to call a tyrant fortunate."

13. Alas it appears Plato may have been correct.
If the hurt is too great the masses can also revert to their underlying bigotry.

4. It is going to take a nuclear bomb going off in a major port
before anyone will really see the dangers of having a foreign nation running your ports.
Maybe that is why bu$h is taking such a strong stand on this, he needs someone to bring a bomb into New York or Miami to further his agenda enabling him to declare marital law and assume a dictator role.

6. that's right!

There will be no Nov. elections if he and other Rethuglicans get their way. Martial Law can preclude elections.

8. Yep. "Security and inspections" isn't the issue. Contraband getting in
is the issue for me. For me with the UAE with its questionable past in control, the likelihood of contraband getting sent to us is more of a likelihood.

9. Do you think the deal allows the top 3% to secretly transfer treasure?
That's the key... Arabs secretly shipping wealth out of America with the help of home-grown ultra rich social parasites.
