He was in Albuquerque yesterday. He was quite critical of her for keeping the meeting secret and not even inviting the press.
http://www.freenewmexican.com/news/39887.html Dean noted that reporters had been invited to his event "to see what we have to say and criticize if necessary."
He contrasted that with a Wilson fundraiser that also took place Thursday that featured an appearance by recently elected House Majority Leader John Boehner of Ohio -- an event that was closed to the press.
The successor of the culture-of-corruption majority leader is out here campaigning for Heather Wilson," he said.
Dean referred to criticism of Boehner for passing out campaign-contribution checks from tobacco companies to Republican colleagues on the House floor.
"No wonder (Wilson's event) is closed to the press," he said. "I bet Rep. Wilson doesn't want her picture taken with her leader."
But he made these positive statements as well.
But while he took delight in ripping into Republican leaders, Dean urged communication with those who sympathize with Republican positions. He criticized Bush political strategist Karl Rove for "pushing the fear button every election," but added: "Those fears are real, and we ought to speak about them. We need to talk to people about what they're afraid of and present positive alternatives."
