Dean beholden to HMO's?
Dean leads all candidates in money from health professionals, HMO's and pharmaceuticals. How can he go up against Bush on Medicare when he's cozy with the same groups Bush is?

$34,000 from health maintenance organizations, second to Dean; and $18,500 from pharmaceutical companies, third behind Dean and Sen. Joseph I. Lieberman (Conn.).

$500,000 from health professionals and $100,000 from hospitals and nursing homes.

2. Either these are to be treated as from employees,
which is what they are, or they are not to be treated as such. I have been consistent. I am tired of people being hypocrites on this.

I can't personally explain the numbers. But what confuses me, is, if he's beholden to HMO's how come he relentlessly attacks them?

Why do you think they would give him money if he attacks them every time he speaks? I don't know. Do you know?

7. Oh my
Why would these "special interests" give Kerry money if he never gets anything done at all???

Dean is misrepresenting campaign contributions and he knows it. That's my whole point.

5. I don't believe
any candidate has accepted money from health maintenance organizations or pharmaceutical companies, that would be illegal, and of course, your link does not support what is reported in your post.

I would be more concerned about Kerry accepting contributions from a PNAC project director.

8. A thread about Dean's HMO's??
I haven't seen any threads about Dean being cozy with HMO's.

9. Yeah -- members of Doctors for Dean and Nurses for Dean
Dean said this morning that only 11% of his total contributions have been from $2K contibutors -- not exactly a problem for him. His campaign is financed by US. Me, and thousands upon thousands of others just like me, most of us sacrificing a little to do so.

Back to the drawing board with you. Try again.

10. I work one 12-hours shift a month overtime, as a RN
and donate all of it to Dean! I'm proud ofit....My nurse co-workers do the same thing.....The hospital sure likes our motivation to work extra.....That must be the "Special Interest" they are inferring to.
