The Indi 500? Or how the Independent voters will change the election.
http://www.americanresearchgroup.com/presballot/

Jan 29 Bush Kerry Undecided

All voters 46% 47% 7%

Republicans 89% 3% 8%
Democrats 12% 81% 7%
Independents 39% 55% 6%

The Independent vote may be the key to winning back the WH in 2004. The Republicans are unlikely to have a strong crossover vote, the ARG poll against an unnamed Dem had these results:

Jan 29 Bush Democrat Undecided

All voters 47% 46% 7%

Republicans 88% 2% 10%
Democrats 9% 85% 6%
Independents 46% 49% 5%

Kerry only pulls 3% of GOP vote as compared to 2% for generic Dem, which means that it is unlikely that any Dem will pull more than 5%. (Those Repukes love them some Dubya!). However, the independents are another story. Kerry pulls 55% of them and the generic Dem pulls 49%.

The only disturbing part of this poll is the fact that 9% of Dems will vote for Dubya no matter who wins the nod. Sad, really sad, indeed.
