George Bush has spent more campaigning than Dean or ANYONE
BUT.. he has spent OUR money doing it..

He is flying around the country making speeches and pronouncements, BUT in EVERY case, he just coincidentally gets free air time by virtue of "visiting" Podunk Colorado, or Backwater Missouri, or wherever.. He "costs" that community hundreds of thousands of dollars spent for security.

He spends a half hour at some factory, making a speech about jobs (where there will probably be a massive layoff the following week), and then runs off to be adored by bus loads of ditto heads who cannot wait to stuff money into his pants...(obscure ab scam reference there, folks)

HE IS SPENDING OUR MONEY...

Yet the press has no problem reminding us on the half hour about how ..
"Dean is broke.. Kerry had to mortgage his house..Clark has no money.. Edwards is a millionaire, but he doesn't have enough to challenge Bush.. Lieberman is broke... Sharpton has no money yet stays in fancy hotels..and Kucinich is broke too..when WILL he drop out"..:eyes:

Not ONE single reporter has made the connection that BUSH IS CAMPAIGNING too, but on OUR dime..(Still FDR for now at least)..

By the time a Democratic candidate is chosen, Bush will have probably spent 100 million of taxpayer's money gallivanting around the country , raking in the dough..

I know that ALL presidents do this to some degree, but I remember HOWLS of derision every time Clinton so much as stepped foot outside the White House..

The press/media is shameful..(but then, we already knew that too :(..)

1. Actually, he still has to pay for part of the trip if he does any campaign
stuff, but I agree that he's getting a HUGE discount (not to mention the free publicity he gets whenever he addresses the nation).

That's the way it works, though. Clinton got the same perks.

3. Do we get to "see the books"??
Nope.. Does anyone in the media bother to at least MAKE the comparison?? Nope..

As far as "most" people are concerned, Bush has not even STARTED to campaign.. That's how the media has approached it.

I have even heard a few say.. "When Bush starts campaigning...."

It seems to me that we have plenty of problems in the country, and someone needs to start asking the Bush Army "Who's minding the store"? They are all out campaigning like there's no tomorrow.

I would really feel better if the people who were drawing a salary on MY taxes, would stay in DC and DO THEIR jobs for a change..

money to raise more money for George. It is not as publiscized, but she certainly is galavanting around raking in the dough also. She does this by visiting schools and reading to kids, who can certainly read for themselves from the size and the looks of them--and she picks black kids most of the time to be photographed "reading to"

And then waves the crooked hand, pastes on her joker smile and waddles off to the fabulously expensive luncheon and spends time raking in the dough for his campaign.

Laura, by going around free loading off our money reading, rictus grinning, waving and waddling, speaking and eating, has raised more money for George than has Cheney.

5. Yep, he schedules a photo op at some
school and then attends a lavish Republican fundraiser. Schedules the SOU to counter the attention Dem candidates get. Taxpayers pay for special lights for the Statute of Liberty speech. Pay to hold up an aircraft carrier so * can have his photo op. He campaigns every day he is in office except when he's at his pig farm.
