1. Newsweek ought to be concerned about the poor job
Edited on Sun Feb-01-04 11:55 AM by spooky3
the media are doing. Take a look at the % of respondents who STILL think that Saddam Hussein had a DIRECT role in planning etc. the 9-11 attacks, despite NO evidence of this.

3. Actually, it wasn't worth taking.
It was worth my time to send the following:

MSNBC: Objective news, or political manipulation?

I have to say that this question on today's poll indicates a lack of journalistic integrity:

"Which of the following Democratic presidential candidates do you think is MOST likely to defeat George W. Bush if nominated? "

You did not include all of the democratic candidates, so I had to vote "none." Because you did not include the democratic candidate I feel is most likely to defeat GWB. Your question is not about who is most likely to win the primary; it is about the general election. There are nine choices on my ballot who could go up against George W. Bush in November; you left out 4. Choosing to "leave some candidates behind" manipulates public perception and skews your poll results.

6. They still haven't fixed the obvious typo I emailed them about
On the question:

"In general, would you like to see George W. Bush re-elected to another term as president, or not?"

The percentage voting "No" under Newsweek Magazine is listed as 9%, when it appears it should actually say 49% in order to make the percentages add up to 100% as they do for all the other questions. I would like to believe this is an unintentional error instead of a poor attempt at pro-Bush propaganda by "accidental" censorship.

9. What an odd little "mistake"
on the results page:

"In general, would you like to see George W. Bush re-elected to another term as president, or not?"

Newsweek magazine results:

Yes: 45%
No: 9%
Don't know: 6%

Assuming the yes and don't know figures are correct, it seems as if the 9% for no should actually be 49%.
