was either an attack on Dean or an attack on Kerry . . . or a very accusatory "question" about their positions, their donors, their demeanor, or their socks . . . does anyone really think this will be helpful in defeating Bush? . . . all of the candidates have faults, and things in their records that we may not like . . . but they're all decent men, and any one of them will be far better than the current White House resident . . . can't we just acknowledge this, respect all of them, and get on with the task of sending junior back to Texas, or Connecticut, or wherever the hell he came from? . . .

I think it's all very useful in defeating Bush. It helps ensure the strongest candidate gets nominated.

It's now looking to me like that's going to be Kerry. I'm sorry it's not Clark, but I'm glad it's not Dean. I believe Kerry can win against Bush. I may not be thrilled with the outcome, but I'm happy enough about it - I think Dean would lose and Kerry would win. And that's what counts.

Isn't that what Democracy is all about? Sling the mud and whatever sticks pounce on it! Thats what put Kerry on top and thats what the republicans are doing and going to do in the general. We have to be able to withstand ALL scrutiny, ALL onslaught and then (if necessary) stand back up and kick some republican butt. And after all isn't that what we're supposed to be bring to Iraq? Our form of Gov't? The process isn't anything new, American politics are brutal and only the strongest survives. Unless you have a supreme court on your side that is.

We need to put this candidate sniping behind us and unite to support whomever is the nominee and can defeat George Bush*. We all have our favorite candidates, and I am no exception, but I will vote for anyone who can evict the squatter-in-chief from the White House.:grr:
