GOP has a 2006 strategy
Edited on Fri Feb-10-06 10:06 PM by ProSense
They stole the Democrats' strategy, except for the part where the Democrats call them out for being corrupt and hound them for their rubber-stamp support of Bush:

Republican strategy for 2006 elections: call Democrats weak, bypass media

WASHINGTON (AP) - Republican national chairman Ken Mehlman outlined a political strategy Friday for the 2006 mid-term elections to portray Democrats as too weak to protect the country and bypass the mainstream news media to spread the Republican message.

Snip...

But many at the national conference question the Bush administration's spending, deficits, immigration policies, prescription drug plan and increased use of federal power.

The Republican chief said such questioning and grumbling is healthy for the party and the conservative movement.

Snip...

Mehlman said the loss in popularity of the mainstream media - both the evening network news and daily newspapers - is an opportunity for rightists. He pointed to the growing popularity of talk radio and blogging.

Obviously, Kerry making the rounds on radio and on the blogs, which the MSM criticized last week, were great moves.

Mealy Melh is trying to fool people into believing that the MSM is not the GOP talk media.

Republican are full of sh**, and any American who accepts or repeats their BS deserves to be put out to pasture with them.

Go Dems!

2. Look for many many more astroturf right-wing blogs
Because it is clear to me that Mehlman is going out with a big checkbook to recruit the next Gannon.

4. The GOP is facing a very iffy election year.
Polls show that many voters favor Democrats' problem-solving generally to Republicans' problem-solving, and properly so.

I cannot WAIT to vote against any Republican on the ballot in November.

5. Republican strategy?
1) Disenfranchise as many Democratic voters as possible.
2) Rig as many elections as possible.
3) Smear Democrats with outright lies.
4) Promise to cut taxes. (but only cut them for the rich)
5) Promise to cut spending. (but, instead, run up a huge deficit to enrich cronies)
6) Buy and control the media.
7) Push all wedge issues to enrage the fundinazi base. (Gays are gonna get you!)
8) Employ standard demagoguery. (terra, 9-11, terra, 9-11, terra, 9-11, terra ...)
9) Lie about the state of the nation and never admit you were wrong. (The economy is strong!)

Like they need to tell anybody what their strategy is going to be! They are as wicked as they are transparent. I shall say it again. They are PUSTULES!

:puke:
