And Dean just crushed them...Hannity had to keep changing the subject. At the end you could tell Hannity was crestfallen - the bravado was gone from his voice.

The thing was, that Hannity just kept mouthing platitudes, as usual. Dean countered with specific facts, and was really on, he totally steam-rolled Hannity.

It was quite something...

23. I heard part of it. It was funny. You would have enjoyed it.

Part of Hannity's schtick (like other wingnuts') is simply to talk fast and interrupt a lot. He couldn't do that with Dean for two reasons: Dean has a marvelous ability to think on his feet, and Dean himself can talk very fast.Some criticize him for this, but it proved to be an invaluable asset when up against Hannity.

Dean didn't let him get away with anything, and it came off as completely effortless on Dean's part.

I always hate it when he talks over liberal callers and then asks them some question "who's the vice president?" and the caller NEVER KNOWS and makes us all look bad. I would love to hear someone shut hannity the hell up.

Russert will set Dean up with BP pitches to hit Kerry. The more the Dems beat the ever lovin crap outta each other, and the longer it goes on, the more guys like Russert get to feel important.

He'll probably still try to go on the offensive in a desperate last ditch effort to draw attention to his rapidly fading candidacy thus further sinking his campaign into irrelevance. Instead of sharing his positive vision with the public, he's reinforcing the angry liberal label that has been afixed to him (in part due to his own character faults).

It will be fun to watch if I have the time.

the media will likely try to shred him. There's blood in the water. Russert may be out-deuled on the show, but the post-spin...well...when the media declares someone dead, they like the dead person to stay dead. See: Clinton, NH, 1992. He was done for...and then he wasn't. :)

Dean will do fine, I think. The results are out of his hands.
