1. I think Edwards is further ahead in SC
Edited on Sun Feb-01-04 12:36 AM by jenk
some polls have him up by 10-15. I think it's pretty safe.

Edwards is also a factor in Oklahoma, don't count him out there.

2. Sharpton is bleeding the black vote to Kerry...
...but I think that's the Clyburn effect. I can't see that moving too much more before Tuesday.

I think Edwards will definitely move up a bit in Oklahoma. That's definitely the most volatile situation.

8. Edwards has actually gone down in OK by a point.
The race to watch is SC. Despite the attention the state has received there are still a lot of black undecided voters. I don't see Edwards white voters support increasing much more since they are down to only 9% undecided, but with nearly double the number of black undecideds Kerry could eek it out.

4. Go Away Billionaire Kerry
Tapping his millions for last-minute momentum in Iowa sickens me somehow. And the fucking sheeple of this country are an even bigger disappointment.

6. Sheeple
Those sheeple are hard-working americans who go out and take the time to vote. Maybe instead of insulting "sheeple" you should go out and show them why Wes Clark is a good candidate (and he is).

13. Amen. "Sheeple" is an ugly word, & the attitude behind it is even uglier.

15. Sheeple are the base of the Democratic Party.
...they are the hard-working Americans who don't have time to keep up with all the news and don't know how they're getting screwed over by the Bush administration.

We need to reach out to the sheeple, educate them, and make their lives better.

The fact that a candidate can connect with regular people and explain to them the complexities of government should be seen as a virtue.

If you can't connect with the sheeple, you are not serving the ideals of the Democratic Party.

7. Edwards bought NC
He spent $6 million of his own money on his senate race in NC. Did he buy his election???

11. Contempt for voters
as "sheep" is a common trait in tyrants. If they're sheep to Clark he's going about this run for the presidency the wrong way.
But of course, Wesley Clark doesn't think people are sheep. You who advocate his elevation to the presidency, should not use the term, lest anyone confuse your perspective with his.

14. I think voters who vote on principle are great
Edited on Sun Feb-01-04 01:09 AM by Jack_Dawson
but I think it's sad when polls radically shift and people begin to base their vote on who Iowans choose instead of researching the candidates and coming to their own conclusions.

And it also saddens me to know that you have to have a certain amount of personal wealth to successfully run for office. If Kerry and Edwards were teachers or didn't "marry well" we wouldn't be having this conversation.

12. Double-barrelled foolishness
Tapping his funding won him the caucus. The people are smarter than you think.

5. Interesting results
Trouble brewing for Clark in OK.

I guess I'd have to say we'll only have two winners by Wednesday.

But the voters will be letting us all know what they really think.

he stumbled big time, and he's not recovering. It's all over for him.
