Jeb shredding state records - Send to all newspapers
Edited on Fri Feb-03-06 09:33 AM by madame defarge
So a little hometown newspaper in Rockford IL breaks this story...

Jeb shredding state records?
A source inside the Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation told Insider magazine that Florida Gov. Jeb Bush has ordered the shredding of documents and public records, a clear violation of Florida law.

The department has oversight and approval of state gaming licensees, slot machines, dog and horse tracks, and jai-alai games.

The source, who asked to remain anonymous, said the governor also has brought in personnel from Texas to replace key members of his staff in Tallahassee. The Texans are overseeing the destruction of state documents, according to the source.

A source in the FBI confirmed that public records are being destroyed on orders of Jeb Bush. The source said the governor may have taken that action in response to the continuing criminal probe of Republican lobbyist Jack Abramoff and the federal investigation of the 2001 gangland murder in Miami of Gus Boulis, owner of the Sun Cruz casino boat.

From the Feb. 1-7, 2006, issue

Send this to EVERY MAJOR newspaper you can! Thanks.
(And please kick this so that we can get momentum... Thanks!)

1. The Bush family have no morals or ethics whatsoever.
Can he be brought down for this? I guess the better question is, will he be brought down for this?

5. No, just typical corruption from a crime family
that thinks it's above the law. Trust me, most of the folks here in Florida really don't care. As long as the sun is shining and they can pretend they're living the good life, they couldn't possibly care what Jebbie has done to the politics of this state.

Yeah, I'm stuck here and I'm sour, but I haven't seen a single Kerry sticker in the month I've been here. They were all over the place in NM. I can only conclude that Floridians love the corruption exemplified by the Bush family.

6. Sounds like cleanup preparations for Jeb to enter 2008 Presidential race
Reminiscent of the scrubbing and tidying up of W's records before he ran for higher office so that nothing seriously damaging could be found against him. If Jeb is going to such lengths out of fear of political damage from Abramoff connections, that indicates he has Presidential aspirations.

I believe that Florida state pension plans lost millions due to investment in Enron stock but probably Jeb's involvement in promoting Enron investments has been covered up years ago though when the Enron scandal first hit.

In a right wing, fundie kind of way, that must seem like a wet dream. But could he possibly be considered a serious candidate for normal people?

14. He may have in mind being on 2008 ticket as Veep candidate first
As this article on Wash Post last summer by E. J. Dionne speculates, game plan may be for him to be on ticket with McCain.

"For all these reasons, Bush and McCain could end up as each other's best friends. Bush has been battling, with Rove's help, for a long-term political realignment in favor of the Republicans. The president could well come to see McCain as the only Republican with a chance to push a Republican era forward. McCain, in turn, knows that his only way around the Republican right is to run with Bush's open blessing, if not his outright endorsement.

And here is where Florida Gov. Jeb Bush, the president's brother, could be the deal-closer. Jeb Bush has said he will not run in 2008. But that does not rule him out as a vice presidential candidate. If McCain won, Jeb would be the No. 2 to a president who will turn 72 on Aug. 29, 2008, and might well serve only a single term. If McCain lost, Jeb would have enhanced national recognition for a run in 2012. If picking Jeb is the price of winning over George W., McCain will pay it.

George W. Bush and John McCain may prefer not to need each other. But by 2008, they could well become codependent."

13. That's actually from Insider Magazine, not the Rock River Times...
And Insider Magazine, alas, is not the most credible of media. Still, this is certainly worth looking into and passing on to other newspapers. If its true, it shouldn't be too hard to prove, particularly with operatives coming in from Texas.

If it's good enough for Bro George, it's good enough for Jeb.

What a lyin' bunch of turds Barbara and George produced. I'm sure they're very proud of their sons, but this makes the case for legal abortion as far as I'm concerned.

27. Jeb Bush going to Hoffan Aviation immediately after 9-11-01 and records
and files removed from that aviation school:

""JUAN GONZALEZ: Phillip Berg, the families and Ellen as well have asked a variety of questions that have not been answered. One of the interesting ones is the issue of Governor Jeb Bush in Florida going to the offices of Hoffman Aviation School and ordering that flight records and files be removed. Could you talk a little bit about that?

PHILLIP BERG: Sure. The stories which have been confirmed that Jeb Bush went to the flight school. All of the records from there were taken and loaded onto an Air Force plane. I believe it was a C-130, and they were flown out of the country. I mean, why? Talk about flying them out of the country when everyone -- when all of your listeners, and Ellen Mariani was stuck in Chicago. When people after 9/11 were grounded for three or four days, President Bush allowed planes to go around the United States and pick up members of the Bin Laden family, and other Saudis and fly them out of the country without being investigated by the FBI or the CIA.""

He rode herd over Stolen Election II and then spiked the career Justice pros attempts to implement free and fair elections across the nation.

He then was sent down to be US Atty in FL.

He's their current "fixer." Oh, and btw, clerked for Alito.

They fear something there. This could be part of it.
