When, oh when will the Democrats learn?????

When, oh When will the Democratic candidates say what

needs to be said??

This goddamn primary is like a boxing match with one guy, the Democrat, having both of his hands tied behind his back.

Just look at it. Dean is virtually destroyed by the fascist run media for his "not ready for prime" time energy level after the Iowa races and Kerry is now doing the talk shows while Bush is given absofuckinglutley NO attention whatsoever.

Think about it: Dean destroyed overnight for the Press's emphasis on his loud speech and Bush ignored about the AWOL/Drug issue. Think about it.

What to do. The first thing is that Kerry should demand, and demand every goddamn time that, absent or not, equal time be to cover Bush's past. Then lay out parts of the incredibly long list of shit that Bush has done. If he doesn't do this he should just give it up.
EVERY TIME!!!

Otherwise Kerry will be defending himself against
somebody who isn't even in the ring and has his media imps throwing the punches. It is a pathetically hopeless situation to have yourself under scrutiny and every single goddamn thing about your opponent ignored.

I don't know if there is a way of leveling the playing field, maybe there isn't, but if there isn't then I think it as as hopeless as farting in the wind to stop a hurricane.

I'm not deluding myself any longer.

FRAME THE DEBATE!!
FRAME THE FORUM OF THE DEBATE!!
FRAME THE WHOLE DAMN THING!!

Kerry needs to refuse to discuss a goddamn thing until the rules of engagement are made fair. When he is on a show he should tell the host point blank, or preferably in prior agreement, what his demands are or refuse to discuss the issues. HE MUST FRAME THE DISCUSSION. By that I mean demanding that the show allot equal time to covering Bush's past as to his and pull no punches. Then he needs get some of the enormous amount of dirt on Bush and exposing it. He'd need an earthmover to get it all off of DU. If he cannot get his terms then let the headlines read:

" Kerry refuses to play in a rigged game"

DO NOT ENTER ANY ARENA UNLESS YOU ARE SURE IT WILL BE GOOD FOR YOUR CAMPAIGN!

This is why I hate politics and am forever sick and tired of the way the Democrats just plough along like the game is fair when it is about as one sided as it can be.

1. I understand, but I also remember 1980 and 2000.
In 1980 Carter made many attempts to expose Ronnie's RW extremism, and each time, he was gang-raped by the 'liberal media' for being ... MEAN!!! :eyes: And it worked; Ronnie would just grin, shrug, everyone said "Awwwwww", and we know what followed.

Same with Gore in 2000. Some candidates are virtually bash-proof: Ronnie was in 1980-84, and I fear that GWB is somewhat that way now.

John Edwards also has that quality, but not enough Dems seem to care.

4. What was it Kerry said about 2000?
Something about our being unable to turn the hands of time and fix things... that we had to move forward and make sure we get after bush in this election.

3. The Dean scream
came near the bottom of the big hill on the roller coaster, not near the top.

I read somewhere that Dean spent a million dollars in the week before NH and if that's true, the money picture didn't change too much and in fact may have gotten better. It looked like many supporters rallied after the scream.

If there was no scream, maybe Mrs Dean would not have appeared so many times in NH and it seemed like she was a big help.

Relax, Kerry does need to answer the republicans here and there but there is a fine line about how far to go. There are a few more steps left to take in this race and it would not be wise to use up all of the ammo now now, so far from the GE.

6. You can spend all the money in the world,
but it don't amount to a hill of beans if someone out to bring you down owns the airways.

5. Kerry won't demand anything--he is complicit in much of it.
He participates in their view of the debate. That is why they are propping that boring pompous loser up. He would rather pass the buck. He will never be the leader in the fight, he takes his cues from others. Always has, always will--that is why he has to strut about Viet Nam--it is intended to compensate for his cowardice.
