2. Article In Todays Washington Post As Well + NYTimes
Edited on Sat Jan-31-04 07:22 PM by cryingshame
Heck, Center For Public Integrity is putting out a book this year "Buying of the President" and features a bit on Kerry and Telecom.

And for those who say it's ONLY $100,000 over 20 years....

It's a matter of any correspondance WHEN Kerry got the money and WHEN Kerry voted FOR Industry over Public Interest.

And lets not forget Edwards and his "Secret Bundles".

3. Not just Fox - Article in Washington Post - Kerry = Lobbyist $
Sen. John F. Kerry (D-Mass.), who has made a fight against corporate special interests a centerpiece of his front-running campaign for the Democratic presidential nomination, has raised more money from paid lobbyists than any other senator over the past 15 years, federal records show.

Kerry, a 19-year veteran of the Senate who fought and won four expensive political campaigns, has received nearly $640,000 from lobbyists, many representing telecommunications and financial companies with business before his committee, according to Federal Election Commission data compiled by the nonpartisan Center for Responsive Politics.

5. He took NO CORPORATE PAC MONEY. They lumped individual donors
to make a story about this.

Those individual donors over an 18 year period were lobbyists from pro union and environmental lobbyist, not big corporate lobbyists who give huge amounts to the pro corporatists, not the guy who worked on the Kyoto Protocol.

4. It's terrible the way Kerry takes lobbyist money
from labor unions and environmental orgs. Now they're gonna expect him to protect workers and the environment! That bastard

8. I saw Kerry on the news tonight speaking about this and he said
it is fine if he takes their money, he doesn't give them anything for it "you can ask them". My husband and I barfed. :puke:

We thought the whole point was doing away with special interest. Not taking their money. I was pretty disappointed.

9. We'll have to see how this plays out
I tend to think if there's much here, it would have come out already, but who knows.
