Average Joe lashes out at Bush et al - I see the tide turning!
I caught this off a satellite tv forum I visit. The topic was about a new piece of hardware coming out tonight, and someone asked "is it more important than the SOTU?". It was totally off topic, but to me to me was important because usually I only see the right wingers go off randomly. This was a nice surprise and gave me hope.

Users Location: Central Indiana

"It is way more important than the "State of the Union Address" . The 622 is an item that we actually have a choice on.. To buy or not to buy . Bush is just going to attempt to boost his ratings by digging up old polls, bragging on the consumer index rise, inflation is down, stock market is up, yada yada yada.. Lets see, my 401K is down, oil companies raking in billions in record profits,, gas is still above $2.30 a gallon, his prize possession (government prescription drug coverage) is so confusing that the majority of the senior citizens have given up on it,, not too mention that their drug costs are now competing with basic food requirements. Our soldiers in Iraq are still dying due to his mismanagement, they still are dying for body armor, both personal and for their carriers. Haliburton is raking in millions in profits though ! The insurgency is as strong as ever, his plan to integrate intelligence agencies after 9/11 has also failed, though it has resulted in a loss or future loss of privacies for the average american. Patriot Act, wiretapping, child porn act (which forces internet search agencies to cough up data). Where else can we go. Oh,, lets not forget torture,, a law passed by Congress has been bypassed by the President because he reserves the right to protect the country. Forget any rights they may have, if his intelligence agencies deem them suspect. They are criminals to do with as our government sees fit. We also have lobbyists vyeing for the political edge, who has more money,, who can influence who into totally disregarding the voters views, lets go for where the money is. A golf tourney in Scotland is more important than being present for a congressional vote.

I do not know how anyone else feels. I am not a republican, democrat, conservative or liberal.. I am an average american trying to make enough money to pay the bills and maybe bring in enough to buy me or the wife some new gadgets. 50 plus hours a week for me,, probably more for the wife. We are getting by but its )(*&%&*&( . Enron trial starts today, they wanted to move the trial away from Houston where 80% of the screwed people live. Why ? Because they can't get a fair trial ? Who's fault is that ? I do not know , I really don't . It isnt a republican or democrat thing, they are just corrupt. We have lost control of our government. Money now rules. Sorry for the rant,, I am just tired of all the bull sh*t"

Anyways, after all the doom and gloom around here the past day, I figured this might boost morale. Don't give up the fight!

1. I see a marked decrease in Troll Bush Apologists in Blog Comments
A year ago, if you posted an anti-Bush comment in a public blog, you could bet on the insipid "You hate Bush" winger reply. This happens far less now.
