...is that ABC had the opportunity to expose the Pentagon's practice of getting the severely wounded OUT OF IRAQ as soon as possible so that if they die in Germany it doesn't count as a death in Iraq.

is wrong, and even though I'm a journalist I have this gut feeling that the journalists who go over there and cover the whitewashed
Bushian version of the war on some level are encouraging the war - not really covering it. In one sense they're innocents doing their job but on another level they're part of the problem. I have, obviously, very mixed feelings about these journalists - including poor Jill Carroll, the freelancer exploited by the Christian Science Monitor who didn't even supply her with armed protection like "staff"
