Why is the religious right so powerful in its party, while we aren't?

Simple, they worked for it and earned it. As awful as the policies they wish to bring upon us are, the organization with which they got the power to make it happen needs to be copied by us. They took over the Republican Party the old fashioned way, they earned it. They ran for party chair and delegate. They took over central committees. Most importantly they stayed with the party. Now they have the power. We need to do the exact same thing with the Democratic party. We need to take over those jobs. We need to run for sheriff too. Then we will be the people who don't get crossed.

Darn my memory. I was watching CSpan at about 6 to 8 o'clock.when they had a bunch of conservatives. One man had lost his election in his state but; then had been appointed to Family Problems or some such thing in the Bush Adm. Also I plan to call or Email whichever cbs nbc whoever it is that has That neo con Preacher on during the daytime. I want to know if they take tax dollars for having him on. Isn't he the one that Bush gave half a billion dollars to , to be used for charitable causes. Were they in New Orleans with that money.
