republicans leaving farm on WH refusal to release Abramoff visit records
"I'm one who believes that more is better, in terms of disclosure and transparency,'' said Sen. John Thune, R-S.D. "And so I'd be a big advocate for making records that are out there available.''

Rep. Mike Pence, R-Ind., who appeared with Thune on "Fox News Sunday,'', said all White House correspondence, phone calls and meetings with Abramoff "absolutely'' should be released.

"Get it out. Get it out. Come on,'' Sen. Chuck Hagel, R-Neb said, adding the photos will eventually leak out anyway. "I mean, disclosure is the real issue. Whether it's campaign finance issues, whether it's ethics issues, whether it's lobbying issues, disclosure is the best and most effective way to deal with all of these things,'' he said on ABC's "This Week.''

In a Washington Post-ABC News poll released Friday, 76 percent of those surveyed said the Bush administration should provide a list of all meetings any White House officials have had with Abramoff. Two in three Republicans joined with eight in 10 Democrats and political independents in favoring disclosure, according to the poll.

2. Good! It's time for repubs and dems
to remember the truth comes before party loyalty. They swear to serve us, not the White House. Those elected officials have earned new respect with me.

13. I appreciate that point
but would prefer to believe that there are at least a few elected officials are actually decent people with some morals. If there aren't any, then we do need to clean house...

20. Don't know enough for solid opinion, lot of press lately but don't
know how he's behaved (politically) when we're not watching. I think Kucinich is, and has been, honest and I like Jeffers but he's not really a D. My big problem is there's no choice where I live.

4. 24% think his association with a felon should not be made public
Those would be member's of bush's base who hate America and loathe the constitution. And bush and rove can depend on those cretins.

12. Consider the following facts:
1) As noted in other posts here, Bushco has been hiding stuff since the day they took office, and it didn't bother the Puggies.

2) All of a sudden at least a few Puggies are calling for the WH to come clean on Abramoff visits.

I draw 2 possible conclusions from these simple facts.

Either A: (rather unlikely) They know Bushco can make at least a good show of having a clean slate on Abramoff

or B: Something unstoppable & unmaskable is coming down the pike & they want to get ahead of it. Like maybe something is about to emerge from the DeLay or Ney cases that will result in public outcries for a special prosecutor & that will in turn blow the lid off the Bushco Abramoff coverup.

Personally I find it very unlikely that there are no unholy Abramoff/Bush links. They've both been playing in the same GOP slime pond too long.
