Anyone hear Laura Flanders, that Cindy Sheehan threatened
Edited on Sat Jan-28-06 09:32 PM by Cleita
to run against Dianne Feinstein if she didn't support the filibuster? Is this true? Anybody have any other information? Laura thinks that Cindy's threat is what made Dianne do a flip flop from her usual triangulating.

3. If she or anyone else runs on the Democratic ticket for the
primaries, they will get my vote. I'm fed up with Dianne.

2. I can confirm
I saw that NBC nightly news reported it tonight on their 6:30 broadcast. It's pretty bad that someone has to worry about losing their job before they give off their ass and do what's right. I've said it before and I'll say it again, I know we hate when Delay does it but Dean needs to get the Dems to toe the party line or find someone else who will.

8. Fault?
It's not his "fault" but he is the head of the DNC and would/should have some pull. As I understand it he would be the one who dolls out money DNC money...

9. It's not his fault - but it could be...
construed as his job. I mean, as long as Harry Reid isn't going to do it.

5. I know. It's like the #1 rated story on Yahoo, but it was just an offhand
comment. Come on people, she wasn't serious! If she was, don't you think she would have waited till she was back in the US to announce?
I tend to think the hundreds of calls to DIFI's office had more effect.

10. The media want to BE the context.
It's better for ratings if they decide what's news, what isn't, and when.

6. this was cleared up on
Mike Malloy last night...about 10 emailers told him that Cindy said she would support a Green Candidate whose name I don't remember. She didn't say she would run.

11. If mr.bush doesn't get his act together I'm going to run against him.
There, now it is out. I am a presidential candidate! Vote Uppity! It is a comment taken out of context, expressing frustration with a congress person.
