FEMA still paying brownie
Disgraced bush syncophant and former fema director michael brown who was forced to resign because his incompetence was obvious (not because he was incompetent) is being paid by FEMA as a "consultant" to try and figure out what went wrong with the agencies Katrina response.

http://thinkprogress.org/2006/01/25/brown-refuses-to-cooperate/

I could not possibly make that up. And as we know, bush's administration failed miserably during that episode so they are stonewalling and not wanting anyone connected to them to be sworn into testify.

Simply the heroes of "conservative" Americans in action. I'm sure this latest episode from the white house is perfectly okey-dokey with the free republic crowd.

1. Can't help but wonder what he's got and who all he's got it on
Or, does he have a purty mouth? Somebody loves him if he is still on the payroll.

Heck off an unemployment benefit, Brownie!

2. He was 'giving a chat' last weekend; he admitted he
made mistakes; claims his biggest mistake was not calling in the military sooner to control all the uncontrollable things going on. So he's still being paid by FEMA to 'figure it out'? Dammit, what a waste of money!

3. And, Brownie's 'working' from home.
Nice job. This consultant, who is getting paid to try to figure out what went wrong, is refusing to consult with Congress. He is discussing the matter, however, at speaking engagements where he is paid (again) to do so.

4. Well, he's doing a heck of a job, that Brownie.
I know he is still on the payroll. Isn't that sickening.

5. out-of-date news
Brown continued to be paid as a consultant for a couple of months after he was forced out at FEMA which was completely outrageous. However, that ended and I don't believe he's on the fed payroll anymore.

6. Per the cited reference
He is still being paid. He maintained his salary for two months after being dismissed but now he is being paid by FEMA as a consultant.

7. as I read the cited reference, he was paid as a consultant for 2 months
I don't see where it says he's currently being paid by FEMA as a consultant.
