people post and belong to liberal websites compared to how many people in this country don't even know who Alito is. The media - and life - have succeeded in dumbing down most Americans.

Because they were complaining about a lack of fortitude among the Senators. Apparently actually expecting one's elected officials to actually represent them is out of line. Today alone I have seen no fewer than five threads started by known DLC advocates suggesting progressives or liberals not let the door hit them in the ass.
