AngryBlackBitch: Thoughts about Condi
Found this blog linked at Salon. Maybe I'm the last person on the planet to discover it, but it's dead on.

http://angryblackbitch.blogspot.com/2006/01/by-request-some-thoughts-on-condi.html

Beyond a bitch’s obvious problems with Condi’s policy positions, eagerness to infuse religion into American politics and general approach to all things, this bitch finds Condi disappointing.

To see a woman who demonstrated so much drive in her early years take a backseat to a person of lesser intelligence is disturbing. It’s her right to do so, but it’s still disappointing. And this is not simply because she is black…it is this same common decision that bother’s a bitch about all of the women behind scooter.

< snip >

This bitch acknowledges Condi’s resume and wishes she didn’t hold herself as if she is holding in a monster shit. But fuck it…who the fuck knows Condi anyway?

All we see is Condi’s vision of what The Man would prefer her to be. Ever grateful and loyal, she’s a throwback to a generation that defined themselves by the acceptance of the powerful…success by being handed the keys to the club...and respect by getting a seat at the table through dedicated assimilation. And judged on that scale Condi is batting a thousand.

1. I don't agree with Condi Rice politically, but her COLOR shouldn't matter
Edited on Wed Jan-25-06 08:23 PM by ...of J.Temperance
I'm sorry but this article is disgustingly racist. If someone wants to attack Condi over her politics, over Iraq, then fine...but could we not attack her over the color of her skin.

I should add, for someone that states this isn't only about Condi being black, race is bubbling just beneath the surface of the whole article.

Angry Black Bitch

On Edit: Dammit spelling error.

3. The blogger isn't attacking her over her race. But for what she's doing
Edited on Wed Jan-25-06 08:30 PM by mcscajun
and how she's doing it.

The blogger is "angry black bitch" and uses "this bitch" to refer to herself.

An earlier excerpt:
Anyhoo, many of those same Texans seemed to think that this bitch should be thrilled because Condi was in the Scooter bullpen...

“She’s black! Just like you!”

Yes, she’s black…but she’s not just like this bitch.

A bitch explained that my ass didn’t embrace a person simply because they are black….there’s a little thing called substance that a bitch looks for in all people. And nothing pisses me off more than assumed acceptance based on race.

4. So, if one black woman criticizes another black woman
she isn't supposed to mention that either of them is black? Is that it?

The only place where people engage in the type of discourse you suggest is Fantasyland.

Here's the Salon article:

A bitch's thoughts on Condi

I've never hidden my admiration for Angry Black Bitch's blog, but today she has outdone herself.

In a post called "By Request, Some Thoughts on Condi..." Bitch answers a reader's question about her thoughts on Condoleezza Rice. ABB's response is funny and very worth reading; she addresses the assumption that she should admire Rice simply because she is a black woman, the surprise people express about how well educated and well spoken Rice is, the way that George Bush uses smarter women to advocate for him, and her ancillary loathing for Ann Coulter.

But I was most impressed by ABB's indelicate, and absolutely nail-on-the-head, description of Condi's physical presence: "This bitch acknowledges Condi’s resume and wishes she didn’t hold herself as if she is holding in a monster shit."

I'm not sure anyone has ever summed up the Condi "look" so precisely.

5. Condi: Mis-named in an oxymoronic SNAFU.
Con dolcezza, in Italian, means "with sweetness," a musical reference. The Bu$h-loving former pastor of the 1st Presbyterian Church of Dallas (whose brother-in-law is Sen. Lamar Alexander, R-Tenn) pointed out that Italian translation in a particularly obsequious sermon of his a few years ago. He loved Condi and Bu$h.
