Republican Allies
Edited on Wed Jan-25-06 04:56 AM by Tim Howells
I'm increasingly convinced that we have to give up on the
DNC and the neoliberals like Hillary Clinton and Joe Lieberman
and, sadly, John Kerry, who are gung ho for the Iraq War and
for expanding the War into Syria and Iran. More and more when
I look at the few politicians who dare to speak out, I see
that they are Republicans, or very conservative Democrats like
Murta. On the most important issue of all, which cannot be
even mentioned on this forum, the brave few are almost
exclusively Republicans: Paul Craig Roberts, Morgan Reynolds,
Catherine Austin Fitts.

For more hopeful signs from the Republican side see this
tribute to George McGovern and the anti-war movement from
Bill Kauffman in The American Conservative -

Also see this fine indictment of the Alito nomination from
Geoffrey R. Stone in the Chicago Tribune, correctly analysing
this as a major step towards a permanent totalitarian system
in the USA.

This is no longer about Democrats vs Republicans - this is
a struggle for survival for our whole culture.
