Kyra Phillips Lies for the Post

She just said that Debbi Howell's column about Abramoff giving donations to republicons and Democrats is "true," but that he gave more to republicons.

Can Phillips susbtantiate these claims? Why does CNN constantly lie like this?!

Let me add a bit more to my post: The story focused primarily on the fact that the Post had to shut down the post.blog site's comments feature because of "hate speech" and "personal attacks"--ya think she was projecting?--but she finished the story by saying that Howell's claims that Abramoff gave money to Democrats as well as republicons are "true."

CNN needs to be held to account for this disinformation campaign.

4. She did another whopper earlier -

in discussing FISA and how the govt gets a warrant, she kept insisting it takes a "long time" to get a warrant, and if something is going down right now, FISA is too slow. I know she's not that stupid - I know she's aware a warrant can be obtained up to 72 hours afterwards. So what we have here are blatant, deliberate lies.

5. I've said this before on other threads ...

Legal counsel for the Democratic Party should be issuing 'cease and desist' letters to EVERYONE who states this publicly. Either NAME the specific people you're alleging took money, or SHUT UP.

And of course, should you name specific names and be proven wrong, you've just bought yourself (and your newspaper, publisher, TV network) a big fat LIBEL suit.

she said that they offered $100 to students who record profs whose message is political. But that's not true. They offer the money to students who record professors whose message is deemed liberal.
