All three of those programs led with the Osama tape. And All three of them compared Democrats criticism of Iraq and Bush to Osama's words on the tape. I could hardly believe it. I was skeptical yesterday when I saw all the threads on DU talking about a "Fake" Osama tape. But now i think the tape was timed to be released yesterday to change the national debate back to the Republicans corner where they can attack Democrats. Which is exactly what happened on just about every news program. All of the cable news programs had the same obvious talking points. I felt like my head was about to explode yesterday. I didn't catch Tucker, but I just read a thread about his show. I also missed Tweety, who apparently was also comparing Osama to Liberals. What Wolf Blitzer? Did he go with the same BS?

I think you haven't read David Brock's "Blinded By The Right". All the GOP propaganda outlets and propagandists are tied together by email and fax in largely a hierarchical way. 'Think tanks' in Manhattan take the news each day and work out a political line during the wee hours, and then blast fax the results out to Limbaugh, Fox News, and a lot of little fish before 6 AM Eastern time. Given that no media person or small staff can do the amount of work involved on their own, even if they had intentions of staying indie they become pretty much dependent on this flow of material and start parroting it, i.e. become salesmen for it rather than independent operators.

And you can guess who funds it. The most sadly ironic thing is that Republicans have gone over from fighting Communism to being Communism. Well, at least Bolshevism. Five Year Plans and all.
