And we're not trying to defend the guilty. Just the innocent who get caught up in the same net. You can't hold people forever without a trial. You can't detain them until the war on terror is over, because it will never be over.

These people assume, or pretend to think, that the president will only go after the terrorists, and not his political enemies. Then what is the guy who created "Bush's Brain" doing on a no-fly list then. Or why did Ted Kennedy end up on one.

But then again, it should be fun to watch the next Democrat in office have all those spiffy new powers. The Republicans forget that possibility. Or perhaps they've planned for it.

The Osama tape is just a little too perfectly timed and positioned for the spin they've been pushing so hard. "Look," they can now say, "Osama and the Dems are saying the same thing! The Dems are supporting the terrorists!"
