Dropped thread

This morning there was a thread "What Does The Acronym DLC Mean To You?"

The thread was removed by the moderator. OK there were some unflattering if imaginative posts about what DLC stands for.

In my case, I had seen the acronym for some time without knowing its meaning. I finally learned it.

I am troubled by this removal. Yes, this is a moderated board. I have had 2 postings removed. One was a misunderstanding and the other was definitely Over The Top as far as the rules go.

I imagine it's not the first thread to be dropped in the history of DU.

The moderator has the trump card. It just should never be played that's all. In my view something was lost today. And I'm sorry.

1. don't forget that there has been a change in the line up

so give the new moderators time to find their feet. I've been subject to a few deletions myself recently but nothing yet that was enough to raise a comment.
