Want to have some fun? Host a rethug house party 1/31

Get creative!

by email

On January 31, President Bush will deliver his State of the Union Address, laying out his bold agenda for the coming year. That evening, thousands of Americans all across the country will come together for State of the Union House Parties. Will you join us by hosting a State of the Union House Party in your home?

We all remember the thousands of Parties for the President held across America during the last Presidential campaign. If you didn't participate in those House Parties and don't really know what a house party is, let me explain. A House Party is a great way to carry the President's message into your community, while having fun with friends old and new. Just go to GOP.com, sign up, set up your party, and send the invitations - all in five minutes or less. Not sure who to invite? You can use our Web site to invite 5, 10 or 20 Republican volunteers near you. We'll give you all the tools you need to make your party a success.

Hosting a House Party on the 31st is a great opportunity to reconnect with old friends and bring neighbors together as we kick off another year of making history. Get started now.

You've stood strong with President Bush as he has expanded freedom around the world and made America more prosperous. As always, thank you for your support. I hope I can count on you to continue to stand with President Bush by hosting a State of the Union House Party on January 31.

Sincerely,

Ken Mehlman
Chairman, Republican National Committee

3. In Atlanta, there's a famous Queen named "Bob" who comes on
a local radio station in the mornings. He recently went to a Buckhead Young Republicans party and reported back . It was hilarious! He said he saw lots of guys he'd like to have sex with, but he still wasn't voting republican!

8. What I don't understand
is how can you be a republican now days? The party is fascists and for religious people more than anybody else. They're bigoted and hate gay people and would want you to "find Jesus to cure you." (I'm a Christian and find it troubling that anybody would want to force religion on someone else because they're phobic of something like that :( )

6. the local crack house would be a good place to host one.....
....it would be funny to see the looks on their faces when they get out of their SUVs and look at the house where the party is.

7. If I lived in the States ...
... (I live in Canada), I'd LOVE to get the names of 20 Repubs off the suggested website, and invite them over for a SOTU party!

And I'd go all-out. I'd decorate the place with poster-sized photos from Abu Graib, and serve food on paper plates emblazoned with the latest deficit numbers.

There'd be Repug 'party games', like "Pass The Buck", and pre-printed booklets on things like "How to Launder Campaign Cash" - and, of course, the only music playing on the old CD player would be the Dixie Chicks!

10. Muhahahahaha!
Yes!

You could offer to host, and when the guests arrive they would be treated to a bevvy of interesting tidbits:

--"Impeach Now!" signs
--Banners that say, "Bush is a Fascist"
--A table full of petitions to sign--all against Bush--to be sent to the local Senators/Congresspeeps
--A giant cheese ball in the shape of Tom DeLay with a sign in front of it that says, "Have a Wheat Thin! Take a bite out of crime!"
--Tables filled with "Is it Fascism Yet?" buttons/t-shirts/coffee mugs/gun cozies. All proceeds go to MoveOn.org

Ahhhh...the possibilities.

13. You could always print out the letters, and send them.....
...anonymously to every Rethug you know telling them the date, time, and that the house party will be held at their local Hooters...

Then again, they probably wouldn't see anything wrong with that and they'd probably all show up..
