1. Clean up government by passing the Federal Accountability Act; okay - there are already laws in place and people will be convicted of wrongdoing and caught by ombudsmen - as they have been in the former Liberal leader's government... this is window dressing. RCMP is called in at the first hint of illegal activity. And a commission is called.

2.Provide real tax relief to working families by cutting the GST; Cutting Sales tax by 2% (they get cheques in the mail for times a year to cover any sales tax) - which is a regressive tax cut and which policy experts say will not give much relief to those who need it or un-hamper the style of those who don't. That still leaves sales tax of 5%

3.Make our streets and communities safer by cracking down on crime; Minimum sentencing guidelines do not deter crime - they just fill up prisons. What deters crime are programs and investing in social programs and partnerships in communities. That works. That is the only thing that is cost effective. Neocon government will cut these community level education, advocacy & mentorship programs first..they always do. In fact, much of the crime wave now in Toronto is because of the Mike Harris neocon cuts that decimated all social services from 1995 till 1999. I agree that throwing gun dealers - illegal ones - into jail is a fine idea. But there is no replacement for spending the 600,000 a year it takes to incarcerate a maximum lock up criminal - before, during that boy's youth. Why if you spend 5,000 dollars a year on a kid - you will show amazing results. But only if you spend the money while they are still kids. Spending it after the crime is committed on incarceration as a mutually exclusive thing is a crime in and of itself. What does advocacy or education do? What to generous emergency housing vouchers do? They allow a mother enough time to find an apartment in a okay neighbourhood !!! All that will be gone.

4.Help parents with the cost of raising their children; and Oh you bad boys. A tax cut for parents of $25 dollars a week while you cancel the national child care strategy of $5.5 Billion every 5 years

5. Work with the provinces to establish a Patient Wait Times Guarantee.Allowing private hospitals to compete and exist, who will lobby to undo all of medicare, so that crap hospitals can be for the poor, personal bankruptcies will double as 1/2 in the USA are due to medical costs, preventive health will deteriorate and the rich will get to sit in waiting rooms with not a fake plant, but a whole ****ing Water-wall with ducks!

Compare that with the Liberal Platform:

2.remain competitive in a changing global market;

3.build a safe, inclusive and environmentally- responsible society; and

4.guarantee that government is accountable and efficient.

With the conservatives (neocons) the debt will go from a surplus of $18,999 Billion to a deficit of $12 Billion (and that is if the Harperites & Cons are not lying about increasing income tax to offset - increasing income tax by $26 Billion - these are neocons! What do you think the odds are that they will actually increase income tax? I'm thinking it will be social programs cut that will make up the debt - or they will drowned the country in the bathtub and simply wait until social programs have to be cut.And leave the deficit at $42 Billion
