Check your new voter registration cards!

My husband alerted me to this; he got this off his coin forum. I wonder how, with everything now computerized, this could happen. I also wonder how many people this happened to who will be none the wiser until they go to vote.

"the mental giants in Harris County, Texas just mailed us a new voter registration card yesterday.

The card is good from 1/1/2006 through 12/31/2005."

We're in Harris County and have yet to update our voting info after moving to the west side in May. I'll pass it on.

8. don't know about TX, but in FL, the cards themselves mean nothing

you don't have to have your card or show your card to vote. It is simply a reminder to the voter of what precinct they are in, etc.

If it is the same in TX, the mistake on the cards was careless and silly, but, fortunately, inconsequential.

(I'd call them just to make sure, however!)

means came out of you govt election dept. again just amazing for a dem to get an opps in not being able to vote. would be interesting to see if this tends to be democrat oops like straight dem vote took pres vote to bush. what every other straight dem vote. a in 4 straight dem vote went to bush???? i want to knw
