Documents Found in Iraq - Look what neocons saying now
From the far-right Weekly Standard. Coming up with new excuses for the multiplication of terrorists in Iraq.

I'll just post the header - reading the whole article is not necessary...

Saddam's Terror Training Camps
What the documents captured from the former Iraqi regime reveal--and why they should all be made public.
by Stephen F. Hayes
01/16/2006

THE FORMER IRAQI REGIME OF Saddam Hussein trained thousands of radical Islamic terrorists from the region at camps in Iraq over the four years immediately preceding the U.S. invasion, according to documents and photographs recovered by the U.S. military in postwar Iraq. The existence and character of these documents has been confirmed to THE WEEKLY STANDARD by eleven U.S. government officials.

3. Is this that Kristol reporting paper?
What's his name ? William? a signer and rabid supporter of PNAC. Have these documents been found in Afghanistan and moved to Iraq? I don't buy Saddam allowing Bin Laden to school there. The more important documents are in our closet,America's dirty laundry, they still can't get that 911 stain out. This kind of shit
riles me up..Grrrr

5. I don't get it. What is the point of this?
So Saddam outsmarted us? Was way ahead of us? God and everybody with a brain said there was going to be a guerilla war of resistance when we invaded. Saddam himself said in the runup to the war that it was going to happen and he got pooh-poohed all to hell for it. I'm not going to even bother to google the stuff up again. Why do these blowhards want to advertise their incompetence?

10. It's all BULLSHIT. There were NO training camps AT ALL PERIOD.
And the US Military itself has already admitted they've found NO training camps AT ALL PERIOD.

Stephen Hayes is a total nutball and a liar with zero credibility with anyone but rabid idiotic moran rightwingnuts.

18. Yeah, I know, it's lies, but why?
What delusion leads them to want to spread these lies?
It doesn't make them look good. It's much too old to help out
with the fear-mongering effort today. It's a propaganda bungle
a sign of a defective grip on reality.

20. It's not about the current difficulties...
... it's about proving that the Bushies were right about a connection between Hussein and al-Qaeda, something that's generally been well-debunked already. They simply cannot let this go. They are trying, rather desperately, to show a connection as a justification for invading another country--2-1/2 years after the fact to make Bush look good.

The key to this being bullshit is the repeated assertion that Hussein was financing Ansar al-Islam, and there's just no connection there--even al-Qaeda didn't want to have anything to do with them--they're the Kurdish equivalent of fundamentalist rednecks. A lot of people have conveniently forgotten that several days before the advertised start of the invasion, the US bombed the few villages controlled by Ansar al-Islam and shortly afterwards, CIA and Special Forces were sent in to gather the evidence of chemical weapons and poison labs which Chalabi's people and the OSP were sure were there. They found nothing. Absolutely nothing.

This is getting so tiresome that it's silly. It's all about propping up Dimson.

Cheers.

16. No doubt whatsoever
these documents were discovered in the exact same location as the 50,000 tons of bioweapons, just across the street from the "mobile weapons labs". Certainly within real close proximity to all those "45 minutes from doomsday" nukes.

Edited on Sun Jan-08-06 07:29 AM by TheBaldyMan
but Saddam trained THOUSANDS before invasion. Probably to the north, south, east and west of Baghdad and all points inbetween.

Q: Can this administrations claims about anything be trusted?
A: Definitely not, their credibility was strained from the first rigged election then rapidly evaporated

27. again, I would say that these are highly suspect...
the real proof is there was no recon sat. pictures of these camps EVER.... Notes/documents mean nothing... the fact that there was no terrorist activity in Iraq prior to our invasions is more proof....

I get documents all the time saying Im a winner of 1 Million dollars.... But does the money ever show up?

Spin spin spin...

You just get the feeling that these freeper nitwits would gladly take us back to barbarism, and living in fucking caves if it for one second justified their twisted reasons for invading Iraq in the first place.
