Research on right-wingers
Edited on Sat Dec-31-05 09:35 AM by patrioticliberal
Does anyone else besides me do research on underground right-wingers, people who work behind the scenes but may not want to be seen because they're doing the dirty work for people like Abramoff?

And don't you just LOVE exposing them?

1. Who have you exposed?
I'd love to know some of the underground right-wingers you've been researching, and what's become of them. Please share! Thanks. :hi:

2. It's nothing "big"
Edited on Sat Dec-31-05 09:45 AM by patrioticliberal
Not like a Gannon sex ring or anything. But I am just finding the right wingers, who they work/worked for, and compiling information together on all of them, so if they DO get involved in something, or lo and behold I find something... Most of them end up being staffers for congressman/women.

They'd just much rather people not watch what they're doing for Rove and their Repug buddies or find out what pieces of filth they are , likely. If liberals just didn't pay attention they'd be happy.

Don't worry, I'm archiving everything I find..lol . I know how websites get scrubbed. But no, no penis pictures yet or anyhting like that. I just want to document the creeps, that's all.

3. Are you doing this on local, state or national level - or all?
And when you're finished, have you decided the best way to get the info out there?

4. Hard to say - these people are scattered all over the place
Edited on Sat Dec-31-05 09:56 AM by patrioticliberal
Like I said, they've done nothing wrong (in most cases, probably not all for all I know) except be a Republican and volunteer for Republicans like Bush's campaign etc. Director of campaign, or director of GOTV in this state, or staffer for ____ , etc.. Or they work for some strategy group, or in a company as a government expert or something. When I say they've done nothing wrong, that's as far as we know. I mean, one of the guys I looked up is already in news stories as being involved with Abramoff.

Probably a diary on dailyKos /thread here will compile it up. Maybe more comprehensive wikisite devoted to it specifically, don't know.

I just think they need to be compiled if you know what I mean, since they're in effect like "college republican" types that will eventually end up in Congress likely (unless we work to get info out on them now). Too many of these people crawling around and they don't want to be seen, they don't want their picture taken, they just want to do the dirty work. Some of them are really students of KKKKarl , you could say. I know a few of them worked for Burns actually. Conrad. The guy who may be losing his job if Abramoff squeals and he gets indicted.

5. I'm sure there's plenty here in Texas.
Good luck with your efforts - a wikisite sounds like a great idea. :hi:

6. Help! LOL
Actually, there's at least one in Texas. Cowboy hat and all. He's no longer in Texas as far as I know though :) . He was involved in ORegon's republican party in '04 for Bush's reelection.

7. BTW
This project started for me pretty much although I haven't had a lot of time, after I started looking up Progress for America during their whole social security propaganda. I wanted to know who the idiots were. It's kind of a big wide tent from there because I found out so many of them workf or overlapping right-wing organizations.

It's actually somewhat entertaining/interesting to do, especially when you're bored or can't sleep. You feel like you might actually be doing something good for the country by just getting the information together.

I think that needs to be done more by us, really, collecting that stuff. Heck, we would have known ALL ABOUT Mike Brown @ FEMA and Harriet Miers if we had!!!

8. Very good point.
I'd suggest reposting this again when there's more traffic on the site (kinda slow now). And, we do have a Research forum here, check it out. You can start a topic and others can add to it, would be a great collective of information. :hi:

13. (And it makes me wonder who is below Miers)
If she had gotten the Supreme Court seat (hahaha) who would have taken her place in her job? How detestable is that person? What's their background? Etc etc.

15. Eh,I'm mostly interested in finding people who don't have too much of a
Paper trail , as researched as this guy is, but have a lot of experience working for Repugs.

This guy is well researched.

19. Doesn't matter
There's a whole page on him. I try to find people that are a little more hidden, that don't have a comprehensive thing on them already. Their names might be in articles or something but no one bothers ot check up on them. Sometimes an organization or local party that is more close or affected by that person's actions will look into them and post about them, but often it's not picked up nationally or even followed through on, and I think it should.

17. are they doing this on their own time
Or on gov't time?

You may not know that at this point but it certainly is something to look for. If this is the case, it means that we, the people, are funding our own demise to an even larger extent than what we'd thought before.
