What took Bush's yes-man, Alberto Gonzales, so long?

The Bush administration concern is, of course, not for unwarranted and illegal spying of American citizens, but for the leaking of the story to the New York Times.

Justice Dept. to Probe Leak of NSA Spying
By TONI LOCY
The Associated Press
Friday, December 30, 2005; 10:45 AM

WASHINGTON -- The Justice Department has opened an investigation into the leak of classified information about President Bush's secret domestic spying program, Justice officials said Friday.

The officials, who requested anonymity because of the sensitivity of the probe, said the inquiry will focus on disclosures to The New York Times about warrantless surveillance conducted by the National Security Agency since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks.

9. Do you know how much of an insult this is? To investigate the leaker,
Edited on Fri Dec-30-05 11:03 AM by higher class
but not the law breaking by our government under NSAdivosr Rice and the NSA head who worked for Dick and George?

I don't trust the Justice Dept to investigate their own or us.

Take a look at what happened to the Put-options connected to 9-11. There was a glaring problem, profit uncollected, profit paid. The statistice were overwhelming. And what happened - they said the Justice Dept would investigate and all we got was a tiny little statement saying the case was closed and there was nothing there.

These people can't be trusted with ANYTHING! These are creatures. To call them by any animal, human, insect, reptile, mammal name is an insult to that species.

Gonzales has got to go. What a joke.
Rice has got to go. What a liar.

They are laughing at us people. They know enought of us are not going to get it and this is just another example of how they create dis-reality. Thousands upon thousands of people are going to think they are investigating the spyint.

People will forget about this while they sit on it and then there might be another little blurb in a paper.

If they find someone who leaked, if there was one, it might reveal too much. They might have their worst enemy speaking out if it could go to court. Orthey will simply say that it is all top secret and someone will die.

THEY CAN"T BE TRUSTED.

12. I believe the leaks came from unnamed former intelligence officials who
were concerned about the legality of the NSA's spying operations--which are now being reported as far more extensive than previously reported--massive data mining opertions on millions of American citizens email and phone conversations.

Go on the offensive when you're under duress. I hope this backfires magnificently -- the evil doers in DC seem to be seriously off their games these days.

Edit: If the MSM doesn't stand up to this and challenge it, they're really lost for good. If that's the case, I hope that none of us will defend them. I know I'll be cancelling many subscriptions.

that "major damage done to intelligence operations." Bullshit!

Anyone connected to Al Qaeda in any way would have to be real dumb not to know they are being monitored. This aggressive move by Bush's Justice Department means there probably was massive, illegal NSA data mining of U.S. citizens-those linked to Al Qaeda and not.
