EMINEM LYRICS

"Mosh"

I pledge allegiance to the flag of the United States of America
And to the Republic for which it stands
One nation under God
Indivisible...
It feels so good to be back..

I scrutinize every word, memorize every line
I spit it once, refuel and re-energize and rewind
I give sight to the blind, my insight through the mind
I exercise my right to express when I feel it's time
It's just all in your mind, what you interpret it as
I say to fight, you take it as I'mma whip someone's ass
If you don't understand, don't even bother to ask
A father who has grown up with a fatherless past
Who has blown up now to rap phenomenon that has
Or at least shows no difficulty multi-task
And in juggling both perhaps mastered his craft
Slash entrepreneur who has helped launch a few more rap acts
Who's had a few obstacles thrown his way through the last half
Of his career typical manure moving past that
Mr. kisses ass crack, he's a class act
Rubber band man, yea he just snaps back

Come along follow me as I lead through the darkness
As I provide just enough spark that we need to proceed
Carry on, give me hope, give me strength
Come with me and I won't steer you wrong
Put your faith and your trust as I guide us through the fog
To the light at the end of the tunnel
We gonna fight, we gonna charge, we gonna stomp, we gonna march
Through the swamp, we gonna mosh through the marsh
Take us right through the doors (c'mon)

All the people up top on the side and the middle
Come together lets all bomb and swamp just a little
Just let it gradually build from the front to the back
All you can see is a sea of people some white and some black
Don't matter what color, all that matters we gathered together
To celebrate for the same cause don't matter the weather
If it rains let it rain, yea the wetter the better
They ain't gonna stop us they can't, we stronger now more than ever
They tell us no we say yea, they tell us stop we say go
Rebel with a rebel yell, raise hell we gonna let em know
Stomp, push, shove, mush, Fuck Bush, until they bring our troops home (c'mon)

Imagine it pouring, it's raining down on us
Mosh pits outside the oval office
Someone's tryina tell us something,
Maybe this is god just sayin' we're responsible
For this monster, this coward,
That we have empowered
This is Bin Laden, look at his head noddin'
How could we allow something like this without pumping our fists
Now this is our final hour
Let me be the voice in your strength and your choice
Let me simplify the rhyme just to amplify the noise
Try to amplify the times it, and multiply by six...
Teen million people, Are equal at this high pitch
Maybe we can reach alqueda through my speech
Let the president answer a higher anarchy
Strap him with an Ak-47, let him go, fight his own war
Let him impress daddy that way
No more blood for oil, we got our own battles to fight on our own soil
No more psychological warfare, to trick us to thinking that we ain't loyal
If we don't serve our own country, we're patronizing a hero
Look in his eyes its all lies
The stars and stripes, they've been swiped, washed out and wiped
And replaced with his own face, Mosh now or die
If I get sniped tonight you know why,
Cause I told you to fight.

And as we proceed,
To Mosh through this desert storm,
In these closing statements, if they should argue
Let us beg to differ
As we set aside our differences
And assemble our own army
To disarm this Weapon of Mass Destruction
That we call our President, for the present
And Mosh for the future of our next generation
To speak and be heard
Mr. President, Mr. Senator
Do you guy's hear us...hear us... (Hailie)

our win and how it was stolen from us.

GNN should *not* have changed the ending - it was about exercising power through the vote and they changed it to people standing with signs in Congress -

I want the original back!

3. Too bad it's c'Rap.
Doesn't reach the people it needs to reach.

Need to get some progressive country singers to put out some anti-Bush stuff. Hit those red states.

6. Well, you know what happened the last time a country group
tried to speak out against ChimpHitler.

I think it's a good idea to get today's youth thinking and the group who would normally listen to rap are a fairly passionate lot. I think it's good to let them know there are ways to change your world that don't involve violence.

I like very little rap, but I love this!

11. Did you see Willie Nelson before at the Democratic Convention?
The song he performed was AWESOME:

Whatever Happened To Peace On Earth

There's so many things going on in the world
Babies dying
Mothers crying
How much oil is one human life worth
And what ever happened to peace on earth

We believe everything that they tell us
They're gonna’ kill us
So we gotta’ kill them first
But I remember a commandment
Thou shall not kill
How much is that soldier’s life worth
And whatever happened to peace on earth

(Bridge)

And the bewildered herd is still believing
Everything we’ve been told from our birth
Hell they won’t lie to me
Not on my own damn TV
But how much is a liars word worth
And whatever happened to peace on earth

So I guess it’s just
Do unto others before they do it to you
Let’s just kill em’ all and let God sort em’ out
Is this what God wants us to do

(Repeat Bridge)

And the bewildered herd is still believing
Everything we’ve been told from our birth
Hell they won’t lie to me
Not on my own damn TV
But how much is a liars word worth
And whatever happened to peace on earth

Now you probably won’t hear this on your radio
Probably not on your local TV
But if there’s a time, and if you’re ever so inclined
You can always hear it from me
How much is one picker’s word worth
And whatever happened to peace on earth

But don’t confuse caring for weakness
You can’t put that label on me
The truth is my weapon of mass protection
And I believe truth sets you free

(Bridge)

And the bewildered herd is still believing
Everything we’ve been told from our birth
Hell they won’t lie to me
Not on my own damn TV
But how much is a liars word worth
And whatever happened to peace on earth

:patriot: God bless Willie Nelson.

14. I dunno
I kind of thing that young, pissed-off, disenfranchised-feeling voters are exactly the sort of people who need to be reached. If voter turnout in the US is anything like it is in Canada, then the 18-24 crowd desperately needs some nudges towards the polling stations.

The number of progressives I know who steadfastly refuse to even consider voting is infuriating, to say the least. I'm cool with anything that lights a fire underneath their autodisenfranchised asses.

18. Guess you've never heard of Steve Earle.
Eminem is not my cup of tea, but his audience is definitely worth reaching. I do like that song & loved the video.

His theme from 8 Mile is also excellent.

15. I'm an Eminem fan, and especially like his Bush lyrics
I expect each artist to speak the language of his group, his niche - not that of someone else. As the hip-hop world goes, Eminem has more important lyrics than just about any other artist. He's the poster boy for what happens when parents aren't there for their kids. His lyrics are an open book into his life, and his ability to describe the complex flood of emotions young people face is amazing.

He's barely 30 years old, and is talking of remarrying the mother of his daughter. His recent song about facing the judgments of his daughter for his failures and excesses is a lesson for parents everywhere who don't have enough time or rationalize that job is more important than kids.

Artists are crazy, but in their craziness we find something we like.

16. I played it all morning the day of the 2004 election. I was pumped up from
it when I went out to vote. I wore the hoodie and said 'mosh the vote' to everyone at the polling place (got a lot of confused looks) and was happy all day until midnight when I saw that the election had been stolen from us once again. Great song, even more powerful video. Thanks for posting.
