* complains of leak re:bin Laden phone monitoring? Moonie Times leaked!!
http://cnparm.home.texas.net/911/Backg/Backg3b.htm

The conservative Washington Times reports that the NSA has been intercepting bin Laden's satellite telephone calls. The Times leak has disastrous effects - Bin Laden promptly stops using the phone and the NSA loses the ability to monitor his communications and whereabouts, although Afghan CIA agents are sometimes able to track his location.

Why would the Moonie Times leak that? Part of the LIHOP process to allow bin Laden to burrow further underground and protect his plans?

1. The NYT learned about the leak 1 yr ago, so they had 3 yrs to catch him
Plus, OBL had been a known enemy for 2 years before 9-11 and they still couldn´t catch him. Do they really think we buy this?

OBL is an engineer he had to know that he could be tracked if he didn´t change his communication methods. The argument is another fallacy; they can´t prove that this leak caused them to loose OBL.

Why don´t they talk about Tora Bora? or letting the Bin Ladens leave the scene of the crime after 9-11?

2. Just a WH attempt at saying ...
... "You see, THIS is why we didn't go to FISA; we wanted to keep this effort as hush-hush as possible. Now that the information is out there, it's a disaster."

That puts the 'blame' on the Times, and hopefully (heh, heh) let's BU$HCO off the hook. Fat chance!
