Behold our Christmas King.
Don`t be surprised if, on Christmas Eve, George W. Bush appears on a straw-strewn dais in Crawford...radiance abounding, White House Press Corps kneeling, Mother of Twins yielding. Ermine robe, bejeweled crown, one hand on his scepter, the other high above his inferior subjects. The affirmation of George W. Bush, America`s born-again king.

This will be a beautiful, all-white moment of rapture and ecstasy as His adherents are bathed in the fruits of their efforts. A king has risen, a king so hurculean he can`t be touched by rule of law or checks and balances. Oh, the beauty of it. The systematic mastery of loopholes, the daring defiance of accepted norms, the slash and burn of irresolute comity, the heroic reshaping of outdated Constitutional guidelines.

Hark...I recall Chris Matthews` recent reminder of George W. Bush`s nobility, his words a prelude to Bush`s miraculous ascension above all man-made laws. A frightful complication for queasy liberals or crazed leftists spewing four-alarm, Big Brother warnings.

Unto us a King is given. Rejoice, America. Celebrate Bush`s wisdom and fortitude as He leads America to heights of untouchable resplendency.

Yeah, I'm sure Christmas day will be another reality for them. But then, so are the other 364 days.
