The "Story" at Whitehouse.gov
At http://www.whitehouse.gov/ the headline today is the president's radio address. It quotes the beginning of the address and then provides a link called "full story" to the remainder of the address.

Story? The president tells a story? Perhaps the person that does the web site may be the only one in the White House with a fine appreciation for the language! Instead of "full address", "full story" is appropriate, like the one about the pet goat.

The first hit on google for "definition story":

http://www.wordnet.princeton.edu/perl/webwn

From which I will blatantly cherry pick to support my intentions:

* narrative: a message that tells the particulars of an act or occurrence or course of events; presented in writing or drama or cinema or as a radio or television program; "his narrative was interesting"; "Disney's stories entertain adults as well as children"
* a piece of fiction that narrates a chain of related events; "he writes stories for the magazines"
* fib: a trivial lie; "he told a fib about eating his spinach"; "how can I stop my child from telling stories?"

Hey Karl, you are the king of spin! Can't you do better than calling the president's address a story? Losing your grip on spin?
