If it was such a pure and noble gamble that George W. Bush took to plant democracy in the Middle East when he made war on Iraq; if he put all the cards on the table and rolled the dice in the noble hope of a safer world.......then why did George W. Bush have to LIE America into paying for that effort?

Why the deceit and the subterfuge and the propaganda and the political dirty tricks and the apparent subversion of the Constitution?

If the cause was so noble, why didn't Bush present his true plans to Congress and then sell the American people on the grand effort?

Please answer the question truthfully.

As far as I can tell, there are only two possible answers.

2. And on the same show thaT inspired your post, Mr. Tweety also said
that if Iraq is a success, idiot son belongs on Mt Rushmore.

Good thing I'm a bad shot. My teevee is okay, and the bullet holes in the wall near it are easy enuff to patch.

Neither Alka Seltezer nor Brioschi, however, are enough to calm my churning stomach.

20. Matthews/Gollum
Every time I make the mistake of watching Hardball I can't help thinking about Chris’s two faces just like you. I love the democrats. I love the republicans. I know it's not very good but here it is.

Matthews/Gollum
Tweety/Smeagol

Matthews: They're thieves! They're thieves! They're filthy little thieves! Where is it? Where is it? They stole it from us, our audience . Curse them! WE hates democrats! It's ours it is, and we wants it! We wants it, we needs it. Must have the audience. They stole it from us. Sneaky little democrats. Wicked, tricksy, false democrats!

Tweety: No! Not democrats.

Matthews: Yes democrats. First they cheat you, hurt you, LIE.

Tweety: Democrats are my friends!.

Matthews: You don't have any friends, nobody likes you!

Tweety: I'm not listening, I'm not listening.

Matthews: You're boring and uninformed.

Tweety: No!

Matthews: In last place in the ratings.

Tweety: Go away!

Matthews: Go awaaaay?

Tweety: I hates you, I hates you Matthews.

Matthews: Where would you be without me? Matthews has saved us! It was me! We survived because of me!

Tweety: Not anymore.

Matthews: What did you say?

Tweety: The democrats watch us now, we don't need you anymore. Leave now and never come back!

Matthews: What?

Tweety: LEAVE NOW AND NEVER COME BACK!

Tweety: LEAVE NOW AND NEVER COME BACK!... ... ... "We--We told him to go away...and away he goes ! Gone, gone, gone! Tweety free!!!

3. He wanted more casinos in the Middle East
and he wanted to have a great place to rebuild America so all of his Fundie friends could go to escape us. Sandy and hot, but profitable. Money buys everything, including grass and a gold ticket in history.

7. I take it from your post you watched him the last two nights.......
Tonight's show was a "Yuck Fest" with Fineman and Kornblut (NYT's) that would make anyone blush except the most Whorish of the Media Whores...who dwell down in the below "bottom fish" of depravity.

 Whatever...it was the "depths."

...lead. They don't lie their way into fait accomplis, then blame others for falling for their lies.

10. Plant democracy in the Middle East?
If President AWOL really wanted to topple authoritarian regimes and force democracy down the throats of Arab countries, why not start with his buddies in Saudi Arabia? Seems like he could just give extra wet kisses to the princes, maybe slip them some tongue while he gazes into their eyes and knows their souls, maybe give their hands an extra warm squeeze and explain how democracy will be much better for them. That way spares the lives of over two thousand servicemen and servicewomen and tens of thousands of Iraqis, and saves at least half a trillion dollars.

Boosh lies like a spoiled brat rich kid, and Tweety laps it up like a poor kid who wishes his daddy was rich like Boosh's and he could go to the big parties and be one of the beautiful people.

Fuckheads both.

14. They lied because the cause is anything BUT noble.
If we know they lied about the cause, repeatedly, how important is it for us to actually know what the cause was? I ask this question, because it is abundantly clear that they will continue to lie, which makes it very difficult to actually determine what the cause was.

16. of course
And for Chris Matthews to be blind to that reality makes him America's biggest stooge.

On MSNBC he rhapsodied about the evening before, at the White House Christmas party for journalists, where Bush had teased Matthews about his preppy red scarf, and so on. And Karl Rove had been pleasant to him, too.

He whores himself to be near political power, in almost a schoolgirlish manner.

OTHER people's lives and other people's money!

Maybe if W's daughters had enlisted the soldiers and marines would have had better armour instead of just going in with "what they had". What a reckless S.O.B.
