Why he is never mentioned as a possible Presidential Candidate?

His name is never mentioned in any of the numerous mock polls as the Pres or VP candidate?

Would he not make a good one?

1. Because he's an elderly, liberal black man.
Not Presidential or VP material in these times.

17. And he is only a member of the House Or Representatives
Members of the House haven't done very well as Presidential candidates in recent Presidential elections.

9. If only he could get elected, in a nation of sleeping zombies.
What a wonderful congressman he is.

Our nation unfortunately doesn't deserve him.

11. I've mentioned him.
I even started a poll that included him, along with other dems with strong progressive credentials. I think the answer is that too many people, while decrying msm influence, are themselves influenced by mainstream groupthink and propaganda, and are afraid to support actual progressives.

Interesting results:

15. He should be the Democratic Presidential candidate.
I would vote for him. He is exactly what the Democratic Party needs in a position of leadership. If not Prez, then head of the DNC or House leader.

20. He'd be better as Attorney General
The anti-Ashcroft.

Look for Warner, Clark, or Feingold to consider tapping Conyers for AG.

21. You'd think that if someone pushing 80 was going to run--
--for president, he would have shown some interest in it by now. He seems to be one of those people who is very happy to be serving at the position he presently occupies.
