WTFMSNBC: Poll suggests Bush’s free-fall appears to be over...
http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/10469950/

SNIP:
But the free-fall appears to be over, according to the latest NBC News/Wall Street Journal poll.

For the first time in months, Bush’s job approval has increased, albeit by one point.

More:

According to the poll, 39 percent approve of Bush’s handling of his job while 55 percent disapprove. That’s a slight improvement from the NBC/Wall Street Journal survey last month, when 38 percent gave him a thumbs-up.
The survey of 1,006 adults, which was taken from Dec. 9-12 has a margin of error of plus-minus 3.1 percent

-----

Or maybe he is still in a free-fall. The previous poll (38%), could have been 40%...and this latest poll could really be a
36% (margin of error of plus-minus 3.1 percent). So he could have dropped 4 points in the latest poll. The poll does NOT suggest anything about a change in direction in Bush's poll numbers.

This poll only confirms that Bush's poll numbers still really suck.

2. I am sure they are a direct reflection of the propagandized slant
they are intended for... " lets prop up the loser and see who still believes what we print"

11. We have a winner!
Choose between the teddy bear and the Terrence and Phillip dolls.

Depending on when you did your poll, Dumbya bounced from around 36% to about 41-42%, but if you took your poll a couple of days later, it's back down to about 38-39%. Talk about a dead-cat bounce. Did he hit bottom at 36%, or did he just hit a branch on his way down? Who knows? I think we'll have to wait until after the holidays to find out.

poll numbers feel like a kid at a puppet show, booing at the bad puppet? Well, I'm just starting to wonder how productive this reaction is. Sometimes it feels like a tape loop. Like it never goes onto the next thing. What is the "next thing"? I think the "next thing" should be the public's mood reaching a calm, thoughtful consensus... and universally agree on these simple things:

WE HAVE AN INCAPABLE MAN RUNNING THINGS.
IT IS VERY COSTLY AND DANGEROUS TO US AND THE WORLD AND POSSIBLY THE UNIVERSE.
WE NEED NEW, DIFFERENT LEADERSIP NOW.

AND ALTHOUGH THE CURRENT SITUATIONS IS GRAVE ON MANY LEVELS (ENVIRONMENTALLY, GEO-POLLITICALLY, ETC.) AT AT THE PRESENT TIME, WITH THIS NEW, DIFFERENT LEADERSHIP, IT CAN QUITE POSSIBLY STILL BE FIXED, ITS NEGATIVE IMPACT MITIGATED, AND ITS DANGER DIFFUSED.

5. I'm not in the slightest bit worried
Bush is no Reagan. He's not a "Great Communicator" who can rally the people around him by simply taking to the pulpit. This clown, this little spoiled brat, can't even string a coherent sentence together. Reagan could, and it usually worked with the American people. I stand by my prediction that the little child will be below 30% by 2008 (and some on DU have called me to cautious for saying even that).

This poll only suggests his numbers have stabilized for a week or two. Well, start popping the champaign corks in the White House! Geez. When Bill Clinton had these kinds of numbers in 1993-94, the punditocracy was already proclaiming it a "failed presidency".

6. the nature of propaganda is to shill for fabrications made up by the
ruling party.

MSNBC is PROPAGANDIZING: THEY ARE SUBJECTING THE AMERICAN PUBLIC TO bush propaganda. MSNBC should no longer be consider a news organizaiton (nor should any of the other news channels for that matter).

9. Bush is in media spin mode....
and they are eating it up and barfing it right back at us. Same thing last time there was and election in Iraq. Hey! Everyone's gonna be FREE now. Everything is WONDERFUL.:boring: :spank: It didn't last long then, and I don't think it will last long now, either. Give it about a week. Iraq is in free fall. It wants the US out. The "insurgents" are still going to be in business, people will still be dying. Nothing will change for the better.

At home, there are still no jobs, people are still losing pensions an benefits, there is still no real disaster relief for the thousands of people left with nothing in the hurricanes, and it's going to be a long cold winter with very expensive heating oil to offset that "drop" in gas prices that is supposed to be so helpful.

One of the things that makes me the maddest is being treated like I am an idiot who doesn't really know what is happening, or what is best for myself who can be fooled the same way all the time.:wtf:

It shows how crazy they've made me that all I have to look forward to is that they will at least find a new way to try to try and deceive me. C'mon fools, give me that much respect.:argh:
