DNC to Join Ohio Democrats and Local Veterans in Unveiling New Ads
Holding Jean Schmidt Accountable for Her Attack on Veterans

Washington, DC -- On Thursday, December 15, Ohio State Representative
and Iraq War veteran John Boccieri, Cincinnati-area veterans, and Ohio
Democrats will participate in a news conference unveiling new Democratic
National Committee (DNC) advertisements aimed at holding Republican
Congresswoman Jean Schmidt accountable for her attacks on veterans.

Boccieri, a major in the Air Force Reserve and a C-130 pilot who served
four tours of duty in Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring
Freedom, will join Ohio Democratic Party Communications Director Brian
Rothenberg, and local veterans in unveiling a new mobile billboard and
ads in local newspapers and popular internet sites.

As part of its effort to hold Scmidt accountable for her outrageous
attack on the courage and patriotism of Pennsylvania Congressman John
Murtha, a decorated war veteran with 37 years of military service, the
DNC purchased these new ads after Lamar Advertising rejected two
billboards it had originally agreed to place near Schmidt's district
office in Portsmouth. Thousands of people from all across the country
have sent Jean Schmidt a clear message by helping fund this ad buy and
sending letters of support to Murtha: Americans are tired of the
politics of hate and division and are committed to taking the fight to
the district of any politician who attacks veterans for political gain.

The ads will be unveiled at a news conference at the Blue Ash
Bicentennial Veterans Memorial Park in Cincinnati on Thursday, December
15 at 9:00AM.
