Bush in the Bubble
Bush in the Bubble
December 11th, 2005

Newsweek explores Bush in the Bubble. “He has a tight circle of trust, and he likes it that way. But members of both parties are urging Bush to reach beyond the White House walls. How he governs—and how his M.O. stacks up historically.”

2. The DLC is in a similar bubble
as are most members of Congress.

Remember almost 3 years ago, when most of us on this board knew the Niger document was a fake (and a clumsy fake, at that), that Ritter had said all infrastructure capable of nerve and bio weapons production was destroyed in 1998 and Blix said he'd been granted access, found nothing, and was only mildly perturbed that some of the paperwork was missing and wondered just what the HELL our representatives and Senators had been smoking when they granted Stupid war powers against Iraq?

Inside that I-495 beltway around Washington, DC, it's ALL a giant bubble. Those boys are so consumed with nonstop fundraising that they havne't got a clue in the world what is really happeinng in this country or abroad!

I'm for throwing the whole lot of them out in 2006, the ones who gave Stupid his war powers. If you don't like the government you've got, vote against the incumbents.

6. Greed, unsurpassed greed is what it's all about. Their
entrenchment is so compromised and illicit. "Those boys are so consumed with nonstop fundraising that they havne't got a clue in the world...." Very true. I have always had a simple voting rule: vote against every incumbent. Don't let entrenchment get started. And for those worthwhile politicians who come on the scene, well, there is lateral as well as vertical movement if you really want to "serve the people."
