Warner on Road to the White House tonight!
Edited on Sun Dec-11-05 02:45 PM by FreedomAngel82
I like to see what's going to happen on there and Warner this evening will be on Road to the White House at an event in South Carolina. Be sure to watch. And all you Warner haters and/or if you don't know him well enough yet please get to know him! If this liberal can grow to like him than I hope you will too! I believe the first airing is 9 or 9:30pm est and the second one is 12 or 12:30pm est. One of those. Check out the schedule at cspan.org

3. Go Mark, Go
this is my early front runner. He will play well in the south, midwest, and south west. You know the places Kerry struggled and where Hillery wont stand a chance.

9. I think so too
I really like Kerry but the republicans had this whole "I can't understand him" thing going on. With Warner he's not like that. He's still intellictual but it's to where he can connect with you. Like how Clinton was. He does have the charsima thing going on but not like Clinton. I don't think anybody will beat him. I think Warner has a lot to offer people. He works well with the other team, he cleaned up Virginia and the people of the state obviously liked his work to elect his successor Tim Kaine and keep Virginia blue at that level. And as other people have mentioned he can appeal to NASCAR type people and all that. It sucks how the republicans treated Kerry and Gore but I think with Warner they will have a tougher time. Just something about him that's different (in a good way). I also read not too long ago (either late last month or earlier this month) that Bill secretly met with Warner during Thanksgiving. So maybe that means Hillary won't run in 2008. I don't think she is quite frankly. Call it a "gut" feeling. Usually if I have a very strong feeling about something like that it turns out right. Of course I'm human too so I could be wrong. It would be funny if all the republicans spent all their time, energy and money on slaming Hillary and couldn't get our real nominee. Heh heh. I would love a Warner/Feingold ticket. Feingold would be labeled "liberal" (which I believe he is, or at least progressive anyways) and that's still seen as bad to a lot of the country (which sucks cause we're not) and Warner can appeal to all over the country I think. I'm still really thinking about who to support in 2008. Of course I have a long ways to go. :) Right now though it's Kerry, Feingold and Warner (not in any specific order). But Warner is growing on me. He is DLC but I look at a canidate's personal record and actions before I label him/her a dino. Some people just are by their votes and/or what they do but some people are just conservative or moderate democrats who are apart of the DLC because of that. I don't have major beef with the DLC, I just feel a bit iffy about the organization as a whole, but I'm not going to not support a canidate because he/she is apart of the DLC. Kerry is and he's pretty progressive. We need a change in this country and I think Warner can bring that. And he works well with others and we need that again in DC instead of left vs right and fighting all the time. That gets draining.

12. South Carolina
I believe it's new. Oh and did Warner really turn a six billion defecit into a surplus in one term? That's pretty impressive! There are so many wonderful and talented people running this next term. I hope Warner does run and I think he will because Clinton (Bill) during Thanksgiving met with him secretly. He's speaking now on CSPAN1. I'll probably watch the rerun where he answers question's and stuff before hand.

14. I still prefer John Kerry over Warner.
To DLC and I didn't like his lets just move along remarks concerning further investigation into what lead up to this war. Mr. Warner, this Democrat wants to know if we were lied to or mislead.
He also lacks much in foreign relation experience and it bothers me that there is a feeling that he is a shoe in because he is liked in VA.

15. If Kerry doesn't run I'll probably support Warner and/or Feingold
Kerry's DLC too but he's more progressive than others. I go by an individual and their record and actions instead of their association(s) with other groups such as that. I think 2006 is very important so we can gain back the House and Senate and investigate on why we went to war (even though we all know). I think since Warner doesn't have foreign policy experience, being a governor, he's probably taking this stance. We do have to focus on how we're going to get out etc.
