Via the fine folks at Think Progress, it turns out that the Council on Foreign Relations had trouble filling seats for the Preznit's speech there yesterday. And that empty seats in the back of the room had to be hastily removed prior to the start of the speech on television. Funny, I don't recall reporting on that yesterday.

Hmmmm...guess the MSM doesn't find the fact that the rank and file membership of a nonpartisan think tank refusing to show up en masse to a Presidential speach --perhaps in protest or disgust at Bushie's refusal to take any questions whatsoever in contravention of the organization's usual protocols -- newsworthy.

Well, I sure do. Good on ya, CFR membership. And Bushie? Try having an actual policy instead of just pretending. I find it makes you a whole helluva lot more credible with people who use their brains for a living.

1. the first thing that came to mind was the amazon.com pictures of Cindy
Sheehan at her book signing. She raised as much money and signed as many books as they had predicted she would. But the disingenuously timed pictures showed her at an empty table, bored and disappointed- 3 or 4 pictures in a row, it quite literally mocked her. Reading it, i'm sure i'm not 100% convincing, but seeing it (and maybe you saw it perhaps) i know prejudice when i see it. I know when some rightwinger with the least bit of website authority at amazon.com throws his fellow dogs a bone, it was pretty lame.

Are there any pictures of this event? Do they videotape these? That would be great to see it.

2. I'm surprised no one's embedded products with Bush....
who would be surprised if he held up a can of Coke
during one of these.

He's certainly been tied to the name coke.
