That's the quote of the day at Political Wire, reported 3 days ago in Burns' home state paper:

Sen. Conrad Burns is up for re-election next year, and the Montana Democratic Party has been attacking him with television ads accusing him of insensitivity to women and improper connections to controversial lobbyist Jack Abramoff.

"I wouldn't know Jack Abramoff if he walked in the room," Burns told reporters after Friday's field hearing.
He said he wasn't surprised by the ads.
