Hillary's anti-flag burning bill: A solution in search of a problem?

I can only say thank God that Hillary has decided to circumvent this tedious debate about a flag burning amendment to the Constitution by co-introducing a bill that will simply criminalize the act. Could there be any bigger issue to occupy her time? I am sure that Katrina victims and limbless soldiers at Walter Reed say, "No way." Here in Michigan, they are burning U.S. flags on every street corner at all hours, and I for one - wait, those are fans running around with "Fire Matt Millen" signs. My bad. Here's to you, Sen. Clinton! God Bless America, and yes, dare I say it, Merry Christmas!

... as far as I'm concerned. With the growing deficit, outsourcing of American jobs, the war in Iraq, secret prisons, torture -- the list is too big to cite here -- burning the flag and violence in video games is at the top of her 'To Do' list?

And by the way, Hill - the vast majority of the flags you're so intent on protecting are made in China, by children working for slave wages under conditions that would make you gag.

If you really want to do some good in this world, you might want to REMEMBER that our beloved (no longer Made-in-the-USA) flag is more tangible proof that this Administration doesn't care about American jobs, American values in the workplace, and everything else that flag is meant to represent.

Right there with the Unending Assault on Christmas, fomented by all us DUers who as children spent our Christmas mornings pulling wings off flies, and who have no memories of family and friends at Christmas. Yep, that's us. Evil liberals, every one of us. We were so wrong; we thought Christmas had something to do with the Prince of Peace. Silly us, when Target dares to say Happy Holidays. Surely that, and not the plight of the poor, would be Christ's top priority this holiday - forgive me, Christmas - season.

my neighbors all up and down the highway all the way downtown...

it's just awful. the pain and suffering this has caused so many thousands of innocent Americans - minding their own businesses, waving their flags quietly inside the privacy of their own homes - it's really unbearable.

I hope there's a death penalty in that bill for all violators because we'll never win the war on terra with these flag burners ruining our parade.
