Old habits die hard.
Might as well share this since people know where I stand usually. Even it they don't like it they know.

In DFA we always had a habit of donating when we heard the scream played. Ok, yes, it is silly, but they did get to where they caught on that when they did money talked.

My hubby has been rather ill lately, but his spirits were uplifted about what Howard Dean said about Iraq. When he heard the scream played by Shuster...he yelled at me to go donate to the DNC.

He said double what we were giving for the speaking out on the war. So I did.

Yeh, I know it is silly, but it is an old habit. Hubby is supposed to go the state convention next week-end, hope he can make it. Lots of good folks there.

So don't laugh. Just old habits.

1. I think it's wonderful, not silly at all, I can tell what your doing
but I don't know, these days, so many seem too frustrated to believe in what they once did enough to continue the cash flow..

I hope your husband gets better. I am sorry to hear he is not feeling well.

2. Well, here is how we look at it.
We work with DFA because they are organizing on the ground a lot now at local levels. I don't go to the old blog as much, because the actually activity is elsewhere. The blog is just a teeny segment of us. There are others set up anyway.

I like DFA because I don't want to be in the position of working counter to the DNC in its new throes of rebirth. I feel strongly about that. DFA works with, not against.

I was concerned about a certain local race, and I wrote DFA. I got a call explaining the problems involved. Some groups are working against or at least not with the DNC, and I am not ready to do that.

Hubby is doing better, he doesn't want to miss the convention, and he has a ride if he doesn't want to drive....quite a long way.
