Gore for California Gov!!!

I have been having this particular brainwave for a while now ;-) but today with so many despondent notes on California, I thought I should post it!

I think it would be perfect if Gore became the Gov there (he will, in a landslide!), set it straight (he will, again, indubitably!) and then ran for Prez in 2008!!!

Please discuss. Also, shall we start a draft Gore for CA movement?

Gore has extensive ties to the state, understands tech more than any other pol I know, is a proven "governor", sees the importance of environmental awareness, has terrific name id without the actor/liberal baggage to counter the terminator's star power, has a perfect grasp of the extent of Rethuggery and the media lunacy, making possibly the best candidate for any high office in the country. CA being the most vital state in the nation...

I sincerely doubt Californians would elect Gore so that he could immediately take off for Iowa and NH.

Monday after January 1 following the election until a successor
qualifies. The Governor shall be an elector who has been a citizen
of the United States and a resident of this State for 5 years
