Subject: Dick Cheney in Houston for Tom DeLay fundraiser
Date: Thu, 1 Dec 2005 09:00:59

Progressive organizations throughout Houston are organizing a street theater style protest around the Galleria shopping center on Monday, December 5 where Dick Cheney will be in attendance at a fundraiser inside the Westin Oaks hotel for Tom DeLay. The intersections surrounding the shopping center are very busy at rush hour in Houston and one element of the street theater protest will be citizens dressed as the famous Abu Graib prisoner with the hood over his head standing on the box with wires attached to his skin. 50 costumes are being produced as I type.

We're having an organizational conference call this evening because Houston is so large and it can take a couple of hours to drive from one side of town to the other after work.

The Galleria area is Bush country. George and Barbara Bush and just about every Republican judge (the only Democrats are JPs) in town live a couple of miles from the Galleria. The Galleria isn't even in Tom DeLay's district.

Will keep you posted with the details.

1. Go get 'em Houston
When he spoke in Tucson, the Air Force Base was closed. He never had to drive past anyone. Just fly in and out.

3. Bill Schneider just said on CNN regarding Cheney helping Delay....
"WHAT ARE THEY THINKING !?!?!?!?!"

Wolf said they'd be releasing new "DeLay approval numbers" at 7:00 EST..

I didn't know they ever polled people about DeLay?
