Freepers debate whether Bush Christmas card has enough Christmas in it
This is freakin' hilarious:

http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/1532418/posts

That the president's Christmas card has made such a wave, and the discussion it generates among the freepers, shows the absurdity of this artificial issue.

5. Why George hates Jesus... that's an easy one
You need look no further than the Sermon on the Mount.

Jesus said, "Blessed are the poor"; Bush wants to stop helping them.
Jesus said, "Blessed are the merciful"; Bush gleefully presided over a record number of executions in Texas.
Jesus said, "Blessed are the peacemakers"; Bush started a war of aggression that's killed scores of thousands of people.

Why shouldn't Bush hate an extreme left-winger like Jesus?

2. Damn, I hate going to that place, but that was pretty fucking funny.

What the fuck is this guy talking about?

"To: mosquitobite
The first poor saps who wish me a "Happy Holiday" are going get a "And A Merry Season to you too" back.

Hay, this one is usable year-round...

Christmas is for Christians, nobody else
"

And they are finally seeming to catch on that the neo-cons are just using the fundies to further their own agenda.

"To: mosquitobite

I hesitate to raise the Miers business again, but I would rather say that born-again Christians were snookered by Karl Rove into supporting her...
"

Ha ha! Suckers!

9. Oh brother
To: mosquitobite
" Is Christmas not about the beginning of the new??"

Christmas is about worshipping Tammuz, the illegitimate son of Semiramis. Christmas was created by pagans to replace the birth of our Lord with the birth of paganism. The Feast of Tabernacles is the Biblical celebration of the birth of Christ; it was a prophetic feast, just as the passover was prophetic of his death and reserection.

Notice this guys sig.

Their fixiation with the UN continues.

To: rwfromkansas

And my point is, had Bush sent a CHRISTMAS card, if anyone had gotten offended, the base would have told them to EF off. Instead, again he has tried to appease UNappeasables. That is my only point. I'm offended, as a Christian, that our vocally Christian President appears to be more concerned with the UNappeasables than pleasing his Lord.

10. Doesn't take much to placate the Freeps, does it?
"My wife and I watched the lighting of the Christmas Tree in Washington today on C-Span. It was an hour long show - it was FANTASTIC - had the CHRISTmas message all through it! We were so thrilled! I asked my wife what it would be like when W is no longer in the White House!!

I am an Evangelical Pastor who is calling folks to keep CHRISTMAS alive --- but the Pres did a GREAT job of that today!!!!"
